FFXI New NMs 11/9/09

I've been up at Yhoator for about 30 min now, killing every tonberry as they pop.

(These are all lower level, we know this)
Fire Elemental
Young Opo-opo
Tonberry Creeper
- (these are all no on the exit spot, the EP@75 mobs)
Tonberry Shadower <- Presumed PH
Hoar-knuckled Rimberry
Tonberry Jinxer
Tonberry Chopper
Tonberry Chopper
Tonberry Shadower

The entire time I've been here, the PH has not spawned. It wasnt up when I got here, and it hasnt respawned from sharing spawn points via other tonberry in the vicinity.

Did you check at the other exit/entrance with those level tonberry? Perhaps they share spawn with the ones where you were.

Any screenshots? wouldn't be the first time i've seen something forged to drop what is apparently pure shit to throw people off the trail of camping it when it could drop something nice.

Checked, the ones in the southern part are 273-283 (NM is 274), the east ones are 414-422. However it is possible it has to spawn points. That coeurl has two spawn points, one is nowhere near where its ID says it should be.


Just popped Donggu on my mule, gonna see who the PH is, and then hoof "what used to be TH but was rendered useless on these new NM's" over....No drop, PH is either of the top 2 in the list (neither one respawned for some reason)

Any reason why you might think this? I'm going back and forth killing Peistes right now just in case.

Also, Sugaar is mentioned on Wikipedia as being a dragon incarnation of lightning/thunder. Possible that might have something to do with pop conditions...though I hope not :/

Maybe hes a timed pop off lightning weather in Pashhow (S)? Gonna check that out.

I tried to pop cookieduster while waiting on the robot guy. I am almost positive his PH is the goldsmith or the RNG south of cheese grater's ??? on the far W. That is where he was on in the dats. Killed both of them a handful of times with no pop.

I checked around the Virulent Peiste area during lightning weather with WS and didn't see anything, but I didn't make it to the Peistes over closer to the telepoint/Beadeaux before it ended. Weather didn't last long either so maybe it just didn't get enough time to pop, I don't really know how those other weather-induced pops work.

Trembler Tabitha: Located F-8 Grimy Bronze Sheet
Marquis Naberius: J-6 "Ieroburasu chain" (idk, Yellow Brass Chain perhaps?), says it favors wind attacks? shrug
Naa Zeku the Unwaiting: J-10/11, presumed drop: Ataraxy Earring, sam mob
Bayawak: as mentionned, Slick Dart
Hoar-knuckled Rimberry: J-11, but heres the kicker: Ninja type? its presumed PH, Shadower, is a thief type mob. While this may not be saying much, and the site could be entirely wrong, usually NM's follow the job type of their PH. I'm going to head back, I found the Cutter listed above, perhaps thats the PH.
Picolaton: pops at E-7, spams Great Sandstorm (I guess)
Sword Sorcerer Solisoq: says it drops some aptant.
Mahishasura: Marid drops Veuglaire
Lizardtrap: drops " フェンリルクラウン Fenrirukuraun", is that Fenrir's Crown?
Flammeri: Bricta's Cuffs, ruhroh, someones posting false informationnn, but its kinda sketchy to begin with considering theres no other data on the mob at all, clearly fake.
Aynu-kaysey: says it has endrain I think, drops "チンクエディア Chinkuedia"?
Voirloup: Gnole, seems to drop Lyft Sainti, "Stan TP technique is effective only add Nokkusuburasuto"
Habergoass: 'Occurrence 南古墳 Burial South", drops Kyoshu Kyahan
Ethniu (Mithra fomor): also drops Spurrer Beret
Grand'goule: pops around F-9, drops Unshomaru (Lyft GKT)

Helped a group kill Sword Sorcerer Solisoq yesterday. Only dropped an Aptant.

Also 0/4 on Skvader in Uleguerand range. If anyone has some info on his drops it'd be much appreciated.

Actually, that's not strictly true. It is usually the same job as the NM, but there is no guarantee. A lot of older Beastmen NMs have a placeholder that rotates among jobs (Mee Deggi and Quu Domi come to mind).

フェンリルクラウン is infact Fenrir's Crown, Lizardtrap spawns in Aydeewa Subterrane, no idea where abouts, seeking for party right now but I'll edit the dats and head out there /RNG to find spawn area. In the dats this is what it's listed around:
