FFXI New NMs 11/9/09

Can confirm Fenrir's Crown comes from Lizardtrap. It pops SE of the BLU quest thingy in Ayweeda Subterran. Been killing it for a while now without knowing what it drops. Has paralysis effect on melee attacks. Casts Blizzard4, BlizzagaIII and Paralyga. No TP moves. Can be solo'd by SMN75.

Good help is hard to find. Yes the Hume is stupidly easy but finding people for it is anything but easy.

NIN RDM duo's the hume easily.

Honestly it was always up when I zone there. Just last time I waited around 1:30hrs until it popped. So I guess it's safe to say 1hr~1:50 just like all the other NMs.

Could you elaborate in which pos entrance specifically as I don't often go to that area ;;

Either entrance from Thickets works, the whole map is connected. Its closer to the western most entrance which is G-7.

The zone is fairly close to where he pops so you can easily dot him and zone out if you need to.

Edit: No drop, screw these new NMs

No luck so far finding it. All I see are slugs and further SE of the BLU pool are worms. No one else in the zone but I assume someone killed it already (or I am looking in the wrong spot)

Edit: nm found it in a diff area I'll give pos after I am done fighting

Yea this is where I found it.

Killed it after dieing to a really long casting Blizzaga 3 (he'd look at Garuda then turned around moving toward me while casting, stopped, then several seconds later casted and hit me for over 1k; got up and finished it with one bp)

No drop, typical :\

Does look to be a timed spawn. Got 90 limit points.

Been camping Okyupete for the past two days, on Sat, i killed 4 times went 0/4 with TH3. Sunday, I killed once before tally, then haven't seen him since. Just wondering if SE could be so cruel to say NM doesn't pop if beastmen control a zone.

Just killed Bayawak in Yuhtunga Jungle. From what I can tell by where he popped and where he last depopped, his spawn point it in the top right corner of J-7. Spawned 2 secs after a single fire weather came up. Didn't touch a single lizard in the zone the whole time I was there.

Thanks, that actually makes sense to me, there is one wivre strangely out of place in grauberg that makes sense in that assortment. I'm gonna go try that wivre now.

jus got back home from a short shift, parked my mules down near hoarberry, and the alledged PH had spawned. Someone had come by and killed a couple mobs, but it seems the NM still hasnt spawned.

popped hoar, pretty easy to tank on thf, went Ni>Ni often, doesnt use TP attacks. Mugged 4 gil, and hey hey no drop. Couldnt check PH, there was a rdm nearby clearing PH as well, though the presumed PH hadnt respawned from its original kill. It'll be tough to discern as theres roughly 10 tonberry listed there, and only 5 are up at any given time (2 up top, 2 middle, and 1 bottom), though if it may be any indicator, the NM popped on the bottom. If there was no one else around I would have waited, but the likelyhood of someone leaving a mob unclaimed for the greater good is slim to none. 41 hp, trio no signet, suspect it to be a lv72ish mob.


So I went back to Ordelles, take another shot at Donggu.

just went 0/1, duo'd with a SMN Friend, firesday both used ifrit, 2 BP's each and it was dead... never even took one of our ifrits below 80% HP...

but we're both good geared could broom-rape most i guess.

There was someone saying earlier that the NM weapon in Xarcabard popped during ice. It may be that many of the NM's not found yet are spawned off weather.

0/25 on both? You must have a good bot or an empty server...not sure which. Sadly I have seen several people botting both so far...kinda sad.

It may be that many of the NM's not found yet are spawned off weather.

they would still show up on apradar, as dead, since the weather would have caused them to spawn. Last maint was like 5 days ago, any weather NM's should have spawned atleast once.

I just noticed this post. What's sad is how it took me 26 kills on Goaftrap to get a drop, all with TH4. Thats not attributed to bad luck, as a lot of people are reporting pathetic drop rates on all these new NM's. That's what's sad.

I'm not expecting 100%, far far from it, but 5% with TH4? cmon, thats pathetically sad.
