FFXI New NMs 11/9/09

I'm at H-13 in Grauberg at the lone Wivre at the bottom of loop to the South of the Chigoe NM (which we just killed with no drop)

Best guess is this has got to be the PH for Vascilleratops, can anyone confirm? We're gonna try to pop it and probably get raped.

Edit: After 2nd PH in the loop it didn't repop and we ASSUME it popped NE just outside the loop but I'm really kinda shocked because it was a super long distance.

We're really confused right now but going to keep going.

Just killed Vasiliceratops a bit ago. Popped around I-12 lottery off the Wivre in the area. Dropped Lyft Voulge. Sorry I have no pic but I can't post URL's in this forum yet.

Edit: Just equipped the axe and it gave me STR +1

I'd say this is a confirm for PH Sath

Moving on to Drumskull. Did you guys exit from Vunkerl to get to the PH?

Do you know if the DMG on the increased kick attacks is stronger then the dune boots DMG or weaker like the rest of the kicking boots?

I just got the Kyoshu kyahan and testing them with footwork active on mobs in West Sarutabaruta, the max critical I got was 277. The highest critical I've seen for Footwork + Dune Boots is 292. So, if I'm not mistaken, these boots are at least +25 damage. It takes a while sometimes to see the maximum critical though, so more testing may be needed, but I'm tired and will have to do that later.

Going on 1 hour trying to pop Drumskull but we're only killing the DRGs since it's PLD/RDM + WHM/NIN only. Not too much killspeed <_<

Hope that SE logically made the DRGs pop a DRG NM that drops a DRG breastplate but with our luck it's probably MNK PH <_<

While I can't claim to be as awesome as the 0/12 guy, I'm 0/6 on the Summoning Belt AND the fucking toad didn't spawn for four hours.

Does anyone know if Hazmat just has one PH or if it could be any of the Explosures? One bomb took excessively long to respawn after he died.

Also, could anyone point me in the direction to modify the dats so I could number the PHs?

So far I'm like 1/8ish for Bella, 2/2 lava, 1/20ish kusha, 1/4ish surge, 2/2 birdbanes 0/1 haz All of those save for haz were TH3.

Looks like 40 earring set triggered by having respective job in party.

Any advice on killing Voirlup?

Anyone know how difficult Lugh or the mithra fomor would be? Seems like the taru gets killed pretty quickly. All the groups that seem to take him down have multiple aegis plds, etc so just trying to figure out if weaker group could take them down.

Highly doubt you need multiple Aegis PLDs.. just the only people who seem to be interested in these NMs are endgame linkshells that just so happen to have Aegis PLDs.

I couldn't say for sure which, but one of the 3 is the PH. I never had problems with extended respawns. It usually went around 15 min after 3rd kill for first to repop.

This guy popped up when I was farming a coffer key from the Goblin Drop side. Spawned after killing the Demons in the room. Logged out there before maintenance, checked afterwards and he was already up.

He favoured using aero3 and areoga2 on my second fight. Was easy enough to stun -ga with Violent Flourish. Handled just like the other demons in the room so maybe roughly the same level range as them. 63 Limit Points and 163 Gil.

Drop: Yellow Brass Chain (currently 1/2 on drop)

I have no idea. I've never managed to pop Drumskull, but then i was only ever able to kill the northern possible PHs. If the PH is indeed in the southern group then I was wasting my time

yeah, fuck this noise, it really sounds like all the droprates are ass, except for those new synth mats. i'm probably going to pass on fenrir's crown like i did evoker's gages, and only go after morana's pigaches once I finish my shiva merit pact.

next two targets for me however are +20 siphon pants and a +10 smn skill staff from the annm a few updates ago. i want to break 400 siphons, and get the max 350 with single day bonus.

From my own personal experience I'd have to disagree with that, 1/11 on Tenebrium and 1/10 on Lihko Talon both with TH4 lol.
