They won't work. Because you'll be dead if you get hit with blizzagaIII. I thought the same thing while i was fighting this thing with shiva too. Would have to swap in gloves and AF doublet when you're about to get hit though. I'm thinking of resuming my attempts to get some solid tests on the activation rate and absorb ratio. With avatar's favor it is now viable to have the avatar out all the time, so that using the AF doublet and gloves won't be such a chore for testing now. I still have a macro for swapping those things in from when i used to farm Grhah chips in sea.
Froddo you're lucky if you can get people to consistently do ANNM, when i try to get people it's like pulling teeth. I'm going pet: magic acc+7 and siphon+20 on my shantotto pants.
As far is the Lizardtrap is everyone sure it's a strict 2 hour respawn? Maybe i just wasn't there when it was killed last because i went in and it took another 2.5 hours for it to pop.
Skvader resists stun, not much choice other than to eat each and everyone of those banishga's, YAY.
no drop of course.
I saw someone asked for battle strats on Ethniu, the Fomor Mithra.
You do not need multiple Aegis PLD to win this fight. It doesn't hurt but not needed. We used 3 Paladins. I would say 4 is a safe bet but 3 works. 2 is going to enhance the chance for a wipe. She's dangerous but not overly deadly, at least not until she uses Perfect Dodge. She becomes deadly at this point. We handle her Perfect Dodge with a Shadowbind order. We brought 3 rangers, only needed 2 per Perfect Dodge.
She has high evasion and BLM is useless vs her. Basically chip away at her. If you're quick enough you will only deal with 2 Perfect Dodges and if your PLDs use Sentinel and Fealty when she 2 hours and Bind isn't up, shouldn't be an issue.
She is easily the most deadly of the 5. Hume 2nd probably. She can 1 shot anyone at any time this includes Paladins. Don't get cocky.
0/2 on Fenrir's Crown, second time was cake walk. Ifrit with capped perpep/firesday and din't even go below 50% MP. Took the NM ages to kill him. Just BPd after summoning him again for hate. Can't wait till Microcrap fix my 360 so I can siphon halfway through... soloing on PS3 is a pain.
Any more info on Lamina? Been here two hrs+ and nothing :s
I will never understand why so many people overestimate what relics can do, anything you can do with relics you can do without them. Aegis and nearly all other relics are nowhere near as good as people theink they are, one reason they may appear to be is because some of the people that have them have also all the other best possible gear for every slot.Three people, myself included, have asked what the minimum setup required to specifically kill Lugh is, there's just been no answer. There's definitely interest outside of the relic-packing linkshells.
I only included "relic-packing" in my post because of the specific reference to shells with Aegis Paladins. I'm aware of the rough value of any given relic over their non-relic counterparts, but as you said... relic holders generally have very good gear in their other slots and run with similarly well geared people. I don't have access to that given the shells I'm currently with; my question was aimed at gear, bodies, and skill simultaneously.
Buarainech Is one of the worst NM ever to fight. After getting my ass handed to me!
Well I initially referenced minimum setups for non-relics because most of the peeps I knew in game quit, so orchestrating a large group to take them down would be difficult.
One big thing about relics is that they do allow you to do things with less people.
And of course it figures the hardest of the five probably drops the pet haste cap. Lame. At the moment I could probably get 2 parties of pretty well geared, experienced people to try to take them down, just unsure if that would be sufficient (probably not).
How heavily camped are they? Is there usually competition claiming them or can you just meander over and kill without delay? Would really like to get the pet haste hat and the haste shoes, so just trying to figure out what I would need to expect to win.
Dude I'm with is 0/11 on Fenrir's Crown, I'm 0/3. Suffice to say, the drop rate is really bad.
0/11 on Dynast Beetle now........
drop rates can suck it.
SE has a hard time drawing the line between "Decently difficult to obtain" and "Mind numbingly suicidal drop rates"
They probably figure the new NMs will keep us busy if they give them a 1% Drop rate =)
theres a certain point where the "Fun" of camping a new NM dies out and the "if it doesn't drop i'm bombing Japan" begins. this is probably around 0/20 with TH4
god lol. All you people complaining about drop rates. Try being a thief pre "Thief Knife Patch". 1 in 10 drop rate isn't that bad. I'll agree 1 in 30's kinda ass-tastic, but nothing compared to Thief Knife, Strider Boots, O.Kote, Speed Belt, swift belt, etc... etc... etc...
Jesus Christ, what level is Qoofim? I just got two-shotted on a level 35 job because he was hitting for 300 including Enwater. Came back and killed him without any trouble, but damn...
No drop, naturally. I have yet to see even a crystal from a new NM.
EDIT: otherWiki says 45. WTF SE, a good 15-17 levels higher than the placeholders?![]()
