FFXI New NMs 11/9/09

Got Veuglaire 1/1 from Mahishasura in Bhaflau Thickets. Was killing Marids at G-8/H-7 and it popped in the middle of all the Marids @G-8. Still not sure if it's lottery, but some Marids were killed when it popped. Kited to Colibri exp tower and dot/nuke until dead. Immune to gravity/bind. Does not pop chigoe when using TP move, only TP move I saw it try to use was Stampede.

I tested Veuglaire vs. Corsair Gun and the Corsair Gun still did slightly more damage.

So yeah, prolly gonna just keep using Veuglaire for the +5 Macc

yet to see an items description nerfed for room problems D: maybe "shorted" like abbreviation but never completely cutting off an entire word to save space.

thats not even alot on one weapon, look at Bitter corset

So we can 100% without a shadow of a doubt confirm M.acc effects Quick draw yes? also, do you have a link to the parse data or the test results confirming this?

Hmm, Warlock's Roll huh. Wiki has it listed as AGI(Duh) and Macc, i'd like to think this gun itself proves Macc has some effect on it, but i've seen useless items introduced before.

Other 2 NM's in Ranguemont have been accounted for, so it has to be Gloom Eye.

I think I'll stick to my Corsair's Gun/Peacemaker for Elemental/Light and Dark Shots, it's a nice gun and all but eh.... just seems like more trouble than it's worth due to the piss poor drop rate.

But yeah, this whole AGI vs M.Acc debate is just getting annoying. Someone on KI is trying to claim that hexagun was only added for a COR's Mythic WS and that M.Acc has nothing to do with QD.

I started kiting after that and I could range aqua cannon rather easily as it would ready even if I was already too far away. It did not draw in until after it stopped spamming(which turned out to be 1 hydro wave then 19 aqua cannons, 20 total ws, maybe always that maybe coincidence) but that may have been a coincidence, needs further testing. I was on BLM/RDM to control adds and stun to stop rotation(though that turned out not to work) so I died anyway once it started drawing in.

Yeah.. not sure what to say to that. It stopped the Guillotine spam when we did it, and it didn't use Cannon on that attempt. I haven't had time to fight it again, since then. Will definitely be going back soon.

That's odd though. Sorry if it appears to not be the case.

The one that drops the fenrir crown. I must have missed the strat for it.

For me, I just found it best to keep Fenrir out and use him with the occasional Eclipse Bite. The only issue I find is when he does Blizzaga III on a fresh Fenrir with me nearby which could put me near death if I was sandwiched between him and the jellies.

0/4, some other SMN competing with me.

Edit: Blizzaga III will put Fenrir at near death if he wasn't hit already. It will oneshot Carby but both will survive a Blizzard IV at least for a few moments. I throw out Ifrit in a "oh shit" situation to make some distance.
