Still trying to hunt down a damn jacaranda lumber, needs moar moneh!
This is going to be a really expensive table, not quite as bad as the coffee table but still gonna hurt the wallet. It better look really good >:[
Edit:
Ok question, are you guys finding these ebon/ebur synths from the npcs at your guilds?
Like these pieces are synthable atm right? Im just confused as to what is supposed to be a synergy synth and whats a normal synth D:
Aumoniere is:
Veteran Clothcraft (??)
Earth Crystal
1x Rainbow Thread
1x Amaryllis
1x Square of Ensanguined Cloth
1x Scarlet Ribbon
I made one last night for a guy that got the Ensanguined Cloth drop from an NM. It goes in the ammo slot, but it is possible to sign, if anyone was wondering.
Broke my feasting table, and of course I lose the jacaranda lumber >.o
This thing is definitely at least mid 90s wwing if I can crit break it at 98+1, next time I won't be cocky and run to town for guild support >_>;
So thats all wwing gets, as usual? A couple kinda ok furnitures and some staves/range weapons with little demand?
Damn Se could've at least given us like a ebon/ebur togi set >.o
Wild speculation: (Probably obvious) All the "Base gear sets" are the ones with all the jobs of thier class on them. Maybe the following occurs (utilizing the 'unused' crafting materials off NMs)
Ebon Base set + New Synergy + Random NM craft item + Dye = Path
For instance:
Ebon Beret
[Head] All Races
DEF:19 MP+8 CHR+1 Enmity-1
LV 71 WHM BLM RDM BRD SMN BLU SCH
+
[Material X + Dye Y] & [Synergy Z]
=
Ebon/Furia/Ebur Tam
[Head] All Races
DEF:19 CHR+2 Magic Accuracy+2 Enhances "Fast Cast" effect
LV 71 RDM BRD BLU
OR
Ebon/Furia/Ebur Hat
[Head] All Races
DEF:19 MP+9 INT+1 "Magic Atk. Bonus"+2 Enmity-2
LV 71 BLM SCH
OR
Ebon/Furia/Ubur Caubeen
[Head] All Races
DEF:19 HP+15 MP+15 MND+4
LV 71 WHM SMN
Maybe the colours dictate the kind of role the hat plays, like Black is Offensively Augmented , White is Defensively(Support) Augmented, and Red is 'Mixed-Mode' Augments.
I.E. Magic Attack Bonus, vs. Cure Potency, vs. Spell Interuption Rate.
Its looking like these sets are following some form of progression.
Im guessing itd be more like:
Base ebon/ebur/furia piece + mat#1 + dye -> synergy -> new piece of ebon/ebur/furia
Repeat up until the tier 4 piece. Most of the gear when viewed side by side looks like it follows a progression, each piece is identical (kind of) to the one before, with more frills added on.
Each set of 4 though seems to have one oddball piece that doesnt fit in at all, IE the 4 mage pieces all are a beret set, but one of them randomly is a mage set with big poofy hat, or the hume tanking set one of them randomly goes from cuirass->cuirass->hauby->cuirass.
Look at the jobs though:
like the beret above:
LV 71 WHM BLM RDM BRD SMN BLU SCH
Craftable, and we have the recipe.
3 paths: (Tam, Hat, Caubeen)
LV 71 RDM BRD BLU
LV 71 BLM SCH
LV 71 WHM SMN
If you look at the gear you're right, but it seems more liek the gear is "Specializing" tot he jobs. Like to be more agile removing gear, to be more damaging, add spikes & Replace plate w/chain, etc etc etc.
Ebon Harness is a good example:
[Body] All Races
DEF:45 DEX+2 Accuracy+4 Evasion+4
LV 71 MNK THF RNG SAM NIN COR PUP DNC
Well Rounded (Aesthetically)
Path 1:
[Body] All Races
DEF:45 AGI+4 Ranged Accuracy+5 Ranged Attack+5 Enhances "Snapshot" effect
LV 71 RNG COR
Reduced armor for thighs added enhancements to head and arms.
Path 2:
[Body] All Races
DEF:46 STR+4 Accuracy+8 Attack+8 Increases critical hit damage
LV 71 MNK SAM PUP
Enhanced armor, added spikes, mouth guard, etc.
Path 3:
[Body] All Races
DEF:42 DEX+6 Accuracy+7 Evasion+7 Critical hit rate +2%
LV 71 THF NIN DNC
Removed a lot of extra pieces, improved "mobility" etc.
The sets again:
clarence : wild dragon chase: [FFXI] Model Dat mining
Now that I look at it I have to agree.
What confuses me then is if one takes a "base" piece, then dyes/adds attachements to it through synthesis, why are there 3 colors of the base piece?
Will we be able to dye the base pieces too if we like it like that?
OR maybe the dying process comes first, so you end up with a ebon/ebur/furia base piece, THEN add attachements?
If so maybe the ebon set will be the cheapest if you dont want to bother changing color, as it looks like all base sets are ebon, I think, hold on...
Yeah appears so.
Well it changes the name. Say you got 3 "Ebon Masks" right? Say one gets good augments for WS, another gets good augments for TP and another is well suited for Damage reduction. But... they're all called "Ebon Mask". What it might do is allow you to just 'rename' them so you can macro them properly. THis is all conjecture of course. THe other theory is as I stated previously, albeit vaguely, the colours might limit what kinds of buffs you can add.
Currently stockpiling gil myself to afford the epic cost of amphetre hides.
How hard would you guys say the NQs are to take down? Full pt of 75es who know what they're doing?
Does anyone know where Thunder Coral is coming from or if it is a craft what the recipe is? I'd like to get started on some HQ Zeal caps but I have no idea where to get these damned corals.
Most likely drops off one of the new NMs.
Their rates suck so gotta wait.
