Anyway the reason why it does that much damage is because it's a breath move and jug pets do have quite a bit of HP.

Also, Funguars are cheap, they aren't crafted and they last a whooping 60 minutes. You buy them from an NPC in Kazham, around 8-9k per stack depending on your Kazham fame.

Finally Funguars can reach level 75 thanks to BST affinity. The Tiger jug is stuck at 73 even with max BST affinity.
I think Lars is still the best DD jugpet. It has higher DOT. Double Claws can do 300-400 damage on VT+ and only costs 1 charge to use.

Same here, I'm looking at this now. Also, is there any way to put Sic and Ready in the same macro so I don't keep hitting the wrong button?

Edit - just saw Elesar's post above - it was the <me> that was the problem - thanks for the help.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't mentioned in this topic but Sic recast merits work with Ready. So fully merited Sic recast will make each charge on Ready store up in 50 seconds instead of the 60 seconds.

Ahh I see, never really used Lars because it's never up on the AH and if it is up, it usually costs a lot of gil so I skipped those :\.

This is actually quite interesting, the new shantoto expansion reward has Ready-5 augmentation. Sounds like with full Sic merit + augment pants, Amigo will get to use 1000 needles every 2min 15 sec, i.e. 9k damage in 20mins. Can potentially replace BLM in wyrm fight.

Wow that's sweet! Mind you it could be 9k every minute and my LS would still say lolBST? Get your BLM here now! Haha. But still gonna be huge fun for me and soloing more NMs.

Higher if you are willing to burn through sun water by leaving your pet and calling a new one (starts with 3 fresh charges) when your Call Beast timer is ready.

And if you were willing to do that, you could further increase your DoT with Call Beast merits and the Call Beast timer augment.

bst have a track record with HNM?

edit: I know we have to find out, however it should work just like Mobs do to us. a lvl 40 mob can still deal dead on 1000 dmg if you have no buffs on. so this should stand all the same.

Pet Haste / Accuracy / Store TP is a must now, if you want to take full advantage of ready. Even if you meritted sic to 50 seconds, without TP on your jugpet, the reduced 10 seconds is wasted. Anyone know where the head piece that gives your pet 5% Haste comes come. Someone needs to compile a list of items that buffs jugpets for TP build.

Btw, i was using CC in Campaign and it was great. I was bst/dnc and could duo some lower end NM's. I'd pull hate with rampage, cure myself then let CC tank after buffing with Def or Stoneskin. I love ready. I just need more TP gear and SE needs to give us a larger variety of jugpets (ie. ones that nuke, enfeeble, etc) and we're set.

Agreed. There are a few already ingame. Tigers have a great paralyze (Roar), Fungars have Dark Spore, a great damaging that also add blind. The slow effect from Entangle (Diremites) can be pretty potent. Nuking we still need. Only pets I cant hink of with straight out nukes is hecteyes. Nothing better than using sick and watching it cast Freeze on the mob your fighting.

But with this patch, as mentioned before, Zoolater hat is now an amazing item to have with you. I can just see the over camping on Xolotl now. Haha. Sad to say I've had many of these hats and toss them. So I'll be joining that line up for it again.

Unless it got a stealth nerf, It'll be a guaranteed 1000 damage that ignores defense, level, etc. and can't miss. It's still subject to Physical Damage Taken -%, though, plus it's piercing damage and will be affected by resistance/vulnerability to that. Don't expect it to put up good numbers against JoFortitude or slashing/blunt mode Temperance, in other words, but I have seen it do full damage to Bahamut for example.

Funguar's Spore is a stupidly potent paralyze if it sticks, as I recall. I've heard that Chucky's Venom Spray is like 15hp/tic poison, too. The problem, of course, is landing these halfway reliably on anything higher than a T. Also, worms can nuke, but I don't think they'd be very useful jug pets.

I was wondering if 1k neeldes actually counts as ranged attack. Most LS avoid feeding TP to wyrms on the ground. In order to make full use of amigo's 1k needles, HNMLS should recruit BSTx5 + COR or RDM, let Amigo build TP on surrounding mobs and unload 1k needles on wryms every 2:30min, i.e. 45k unresisted damage in 20 mins. I can see potential in Tiamat fight since BST can actually build TP on corse and elementals, killing 2 birds with one stone.

Will be interesting to find out how Aymur affects Ready.

Or you could just bring black mages, and deal 120,000 damage in 20 minutes

    Just sayin'

I think you overestimate BLM performance in wyrm fight. I doubt if most average BLMs are able to land 2k damage on Wyrm every 3 mins consistently, plus they will be feeding way more TP to Tiamat, though it's not really a big issue since Tiamat will be off the ground when BLMs start nuking.

Anyone test this on traditional BST BCNMs or anything yet? We used to do BSTx3 with funguars on Up in Arms, and it was doable but could get hairy at times (especially with less experienced BSTs). I'm wondering if this makes it easier, I'm thinking it does.

Is it even known how it affects Sic? As I recall none had been completed as of the census.

My guess would just be a TP bonus to the pet's move a la Hagun. Can't really see where else they could go with it.
