possible browser hijack? (HijackThis log included)

I know some of the techies here love to look at this stuff and it would be a big help. I think the girlfriend accessed something over the weekend (she uses IE instead of my well-protected firefox on this PC) and now my google searches sometimes take me to incorrect URLs. I've search for what the problem might be and it seems all things point to this being a browser hijack. I ran HijackThis and here's the log:

    O13 - Gopher Prefix:

tick and fix checked for that one.

Other than that, there's not much else there that looks bad to me. Give it a pass with malware bytes and see if that helps.

Yeah I got rid of the gopher. AVG is telling me I have Trojan horse Agent_r.OT. After scanning it tells me it needs to restart to remove them and they come right back. The trojan is found in every memory process that is running at the time of the scan as well. Seems a few people around the web are having the same problem in the past few days. Best advice I've read is do a complete reformat. Any other suggestions?

Unless you know exactly what the virus did to your computer, what files it added/modified, registry entries, etc and can reverse it... I would reformat. Even if you can clean your system, some files might be damaged and cause problems down the line.

yea I went with the full format. It gave me a chance to install win7 x64 anyway. Couldn't be happier.

I knew all this external HD space would serve me well for backing up one day...

    thanks to those that replied!
