    The second volume of the anime deviates from the manga. At the end of the anime, Kurono kills himself outside of a Gantz mission by standing in front of a train just like how he originally died.

    On, October 8, 2009, it was announced that two live-action Gantz films are in production. The movies will star Kazunari Ninomiya and Ken'ichi Matsuyama and will be directed by Shinsuke Sato. The movies will be released in the spring and winter of 2011.[32]
