I've seen my Throwing gets stronger the closer you are to the mob, this was eyeballin on my NIN, but i'm thinking it'll show true with this new update >.O

Don't know about the enmity-, but Camouflage definitely stayed in effect when I was COR/RNG.

9.6-14.9 for strikes true on yoichi
was still 15.9 for squarely, didnt get back far enough to test
    squarely between 6-9.6

That's very interesting. Now all the more reason to test Lamia Kaman later while I'm doing Throwing. Bet it follows same pattern as EBow and Yoichi is the outlier.

since aegis is its own classification of shields, its only assumed that yoichi is one as well. so we need relic gun testing too

That's probably a safe assumption to make, but I'm still all for more data points to make that assumption safer.

Edit: In the same vein, I'd like to see testing on Coffinmaker and Culverin, just for grinsies. My RNG is still 72, so I can't test Culverin, and I don't have Coffinmaker.

It was said already but testing should be limited to fortifications, possibly even the same fortification (who knows there are differences between them.) I'm thinking delay might factor in, so machine crossbow/loxley bow tests might be a good idea.

I was the bloody bolt dude, I was frankly wondering myself if they'd messed with it. My additional effect on a regular hit was around 40 on the low end, 80-90 on the high end, and I got that one lucky hit for 103. I recall it being pretty beastly, but never that beastly. Most of the time, though, I couldn't see the damage thanks to the wonders of hate-free drain damage at full health.

Holy bolts were around 35, business as usual. And I can confirm the observed xbow range; I was getting the best hits at between 7 and 10.

Am I the only one cringing a little bit because of this chatlog update? Anyone who knew anything about RNG knew the estimated sweet spots for /ra's based on marksmanship or archery but doesn't mean we always stood there. All this chatlog update really seems to do is entice not so wise rngs into constantly being within 8-12' to get aoe spammed.

I've been trying to find a Machine XBow for a couple months now. I'd love to test it if I could, lol.

Should go camp me a Loxley bow, but even Lamia Kaman should give some indication if delay plays a role.

The same fortification might be tough, since it's dependent on what zones are beastman controlled on what servers. :/

    Darts/Ungurang:
.5 (minimum I could get on Fort) - Strikes True
    2.7 - Strikes True
    2.8 - Hits squarely
    5.2 - Hits squarely
    5.3 - Hits

Lamia Kaman follows same distance pattern as Lightning Bow. I need me a Loxley bow. Didn't have a chakram handy.

Well, as i said above, i just went to test.

Throwing "Pummeling" spot is Literally up the mobs ass, Direct range, no room between you or the mob = Sweet spot for throwing.

    Max Melee Range = "Squarely"

anything beyond that is normal r.a Message.

    this was with Ungur Boomerang.

    So here are my results:

    Machine Crossbow:
    hits squarely- 5.4-6.5
    strikes true- 6.6-9.7
    hits squarely- 9.8-13.1

    Culverin:
    hits squarely- 3.9-4.6
    strikes true- 4.7-5.8
    hits squarely- 5.9-8.2

    Coffinmaker:
    hits squarely- 3.9-4.7
    strikes true- 4.8-5.9
    hits squarely- 6.0-8.3

    Loxley Bow:
    hits squarely- 4.6-5.5
    strikes true- 5.6-7.7
    hits squarely- 7.8-11.0

    Selene's Bow:
    hits squarely- 6.4-7.5
    strikes true- 7.6-10.8
    hits squarely- 10.9-15.9

    Hexagun:
    hits squarely- 3.9-4.5
    strikes true- 4.6-5.8
    hits squarely- 5.9-8.2

Outside of Loxley, I'd chalk all the other variances (which are only 0.1-0.2 off of previous results) up to elevation differences. Loxley is the only real outlier (for the record, Loxley is a longbow; same model as Sarnga).

I did some short testing on Peacemaker as well and it was matching up to every other gun, but I was interrupted before I could fully finish and I didn't really care enough to start over.

Perhaps Loxley Bow is considered a shortbow (either due to its speed or just SE being weird) in spite of its appearance?

It might be worthwhile to test Master Caster's Bow, which has a shortbow model but longbow-like stats.

Quick and dirty Camouflage test while standing in Safehold. I intentionally used a rather limited number of tests, as I wanted to know if the difference was dramatic or merely parseable:

    Without AF body:
    36, 64, 29, 48, 64. 39, 65, 67, 78, 50
    average duration: 54.0 seconds

    With AF body:
    114, 216, 133, 134, 87, 43, 208, 50, 142, 129
    average duration: 125.6 seconds

These results are good enough for me to upgrade AF+1 body (I already had the mats), but I'm still on the fence when it comes to dropping Unlimited Shot merits for Camouflage merits.

Camouflage is probably more consistent, if you can use it on CD, versus US either is for sky god pops or when you can WS (or EES I suppose, but that's not really something to plan for merit wise I would think)

Do you have to keep AF Body on full time to get the extra duration? Or can you just macro it in for Camoflage, than swap to another body. ACP body is to sexy to to give up even for exatra Camoflage. @.@
