Hey guys im new, whats up?... just wanted your opinions on snitching... would you or would you not snitch... ill start off personally saying that i would never snitch... cause that would break our code of honour, especially in high school and shit.

1) 10 guys are gangraping a girl. Snitch or join in?

2) The dumbest guy in your class steals the answer key for your toughest class's final. It's graded on a curve.

3) The chick you have a crush on likes you, but won't cheat on her boyfriend. You catch him cheating on her.

1) record it for "proof". make copies, sell it to news and shit and snitch
2) rat him the fuck out since he will probably boost the curve from failing (most likely the test will be changed anyway if the answer key is gone missing)

HR can be a huge bitch to deal with. My boss's job is on the line (we work for Texas Parks and Wildlife) because she was venting about a woman who does a shitty job on Face book. The thing is she didn't say any names but the woman saw the comment by snooping on another employees computer while the employee was in the restroom, screen shots, and then sends to human resource.

Now after 6 months of investigating there is talk of my boss losing her job for discrimination against the elderly. Shes a fucking dwarf and she is being accused of discrimination? You gotta be kidding me. If you have a problem go to the source directly don't pull other bullshit into it.

Actually have a RL example of this. I used to work at Food Lion grocery store. One of my friends decides he wants to steal some beer out of the backstock. I saw him doing it and didn't say a word to him or to a manager. Couple weeks later they caught him doing and pulled me into the office to question it. Basically I said I'm not his mother and he can make his own choices...
They fired me for not ratting his ass out since I saw it happen.

Moral of the story? Snitch

You should've known that if you've ever done one of those pre-hiring questionaires where they'll ask you if you'll snitch if you see another employee stealing. Saying you won't or just ignore it is pretty much a red flag on such things.

i agree with you on that, i mean i remember in high-school, who ever snitches gets the shit kicked out of him after school... its not just that, its the after effect consequences that happen.; no one wants to be friends, you sold out your homies; every1 hates you etc... so i think Code of honor in a way does help.

Yeah I've taken a few :/ Only thing was didn't think they would actually go as far as firing me for not ratting him out. I mean shit it was a couple of 6packs. Lesson learned though

Chances are the kid who got his ass beat was smaller, bullies tend to pick on smaller people. I say use your better judgement in these instances, there wouldn't be "snitching" if people would man the fuck up and own up to what they did or didn't do, and not have to take some easy way out of situations they put -themselves- into. My rat story:

I was in a fraternity, because at the school I went to you have to join a frat to move out of the dorms before you turn 21. Lame. Anywho, we had some of the biggest drug dealers on campus living in this building with us, and they eventually got ratted out by this one douchebag, we got our building shut down, and the entire group of us ran riot through the place the night before our eviction getting drunk, setting fires, pouring cement down the toilets, throwing paint cans off the roof, refridgerators out of windows.... it was pure chaos. At some point somebody took a shit in my sink.

The college turned our building into a foreign exchange dorm, the rat was instantly hated by every person he knew for getting us all evicted, and life drastically improved for me because despite my fears of the unknown at the time, I wasn't living with the biggest drug dealers on our campus anymore.

Moral? Who knows. Don't do drugs? I'm not even sure what this thread is about.

The snitches shit is probably the dumbest fucking saying the world and if you agree with it then you're a fucking hypocrite and an idiot. I can prove this on any level but the blanket statement will do for now.

Everything we, as people functioning in a society, do has consequences that can be both positive and negative. If you can't live with the consequences of your actions don't do the action.

Everyone has a personal responsibility towards the safety and welfare of your common man. If you look out for only yourself then you're opening yourself up for a world of shit later in life.

All I'm getting out of this thread is that there are far more posters on BG who are like 17 years old than I thought (besides the obvious few feeding the trolls for lols)
