I just came out of a salvage and went to watch PW.
I do salvage and einherjar with 70% of the LS who was fighting PW. I wasn't sure how PWs hate worked and had 3 whms cure me after i used Mantra lvl 5. Didn't want to MPK noone, So i asked for permission and was given to the Ok to chi blast it when there mule was down for more then 2 mins.

Was fun, ima try and get a tyger trophy so I can pop a PW.
As for server transfer... Our server is based on trust and I'm unemployed anyway, I can't afford a server transfer lol. I'm seraph until game dies.
And yea, server is based on trust, I seen like 6 different pplin that LS with the same Hachiryu body. Its good to see good teamwork on PW and see them take turns with his Loot in an honest manner.

That just leaves AV with the 70+ ppl. I'm out BG, Have a good night.

P.S off topic... what does Starcade mean? Wasn't that a WCW pay per view lol.

It takes about an hour or less to kill every single form until his last form.
The final form they just literally sit there and wait VERY patiently with sleep pots, meditate, icarus wing, 2 hrs, getting ppl to wild card in whitegate etc.
Took like 40 mins of sac pulling with a mule to prevent him from depopping.
When ppl were ready, they zerged him down ignoring all lamps and avatars like they didn't exist.
While the RNGs were waiting on weakened for the 2nd zerg. The 5 or SAM they had and the 1 WAR I seen took turns doing 1 tachi gekko and dying and the WAR did Sneak attack, Warriors Charge, Berserk, MS Steel Cyclone for about 1800 dmg. after those 6 ppl died, just kept holding PW with the lvl 4 RNG/WHM mule. (possibly dia pulls? Wasn't watching.) Then the RNGs went for round 2, 42% to 1%.

After everyone wiped except me I chi blasted, got a R3, died again, got a r3, a RNG got a R1 and finished it with Eagle eye shot weakened I believe.

Won with 5-ish mins left I believe. The last form took longer then all the other forms combined and the lamps were kept alive in the final form the entire time. Was not a exp sink like I thought it would be. Most people only died about two times in the final form.

Not a single Blu mage was used, or any DRKs (not that I remember), or any relics other then a shit load of Yoichinoyumis. I believe the final form is completely killable without an Aegis and I think it was. There was 1-2 Aegis however in the other forms compared to the first PW attempt by catfish that had 4 Aegis PLD. Each form dies in about 5 mins and all the lamps die in about 5 mins. 1 Aegis PLD was Tigue, forgot if there was another Aegis present.

People usually use BLM to nuke the lamps and Blue mages to cannonball the final form, but this LS did not use BLMs for the lamps, they used DD. Alot of MNK/WAR to my suprise were fighting lamps btw. Was about 60 ppl but they mostly consisted of COR,BRD,WHM, and ALOT of RNG and RDM. Think I seen only 1 BLM, 0 blue mages some RDM/DRK about 2-3 and a WHM/DRK. SAMs and WAR subbed /nin. Was War/nin, war/thf and war/sam from what I Remember on all the warriors that i seen in the area search, some people were also /anon.
All forms were bombarded with some type of DD including CORs doing dmg. The Gurfurlur form was soloed by the PLD on both PW attempts if I remembered correctly.
PW can be held easily with a mule or someone until the lamps are dead. After that person dies he goes back to his spawn point non aggro. Just make sure he doesn't depop. They did this for every form.

Got bored and wrote all this crap. It won't help you in anyway kill PW easier and you probably knew all of this stuff already. Just waiting for my NM to repop and got back on the computer.

@Rat No, im not Zagit lol, never heard of that person. My character name was randomly generated by Naminway.

To be honest, I always thought a hold/mini-zerg strategy would be the best. I mean, you could have some elaborate plan involving logging out and the like or trying to time Diaga or whatever, or you could just have a PLD/DRK + SCH combo take the lamps away while you have a melee alliance zerg down as much as you can without two hours. If Astral Flow wipes you, just raise and do it again until it's dead.

    Well, Congrats.
You are right and anyone that leads a linkshell, understands that coordination can be a bitch. So, the additional coordination for something as difficult as PW is a very good accomplishment.

I'm pretty positive if we had real good DDs such as K-club or apoc DRKs, WARs with brave grips and bravura, Amano SAMs, etc that you could fully zerg this guy down to 24% in 1 zerg wave attempt. That would force only 1 wipe. Then you would grab the mule and force the 2 other astral flow to poop out. Its like Sarameya in that you zerg him and he is supposed to chainspell multiple times but he kinda has a brain fart and only has time to chainspain once.
As soon as he does astral flow, they will depop and when he is engaged again, he will do another astral flow asap for the 50% and 25%.
I believe someone Diagaed the lamps all for about 6 seconds while everyone zerged PW and the lamps returned 6 seconds later. That was all it took to chip more then half his lifebar. I am almost positive no soul voice was used in that final form zerg either as they used it for Cerberus Khim, and Hydra form.

As for the holding party on PW. You simply have someone die to PW and he is non aggresive back to his pop point. He will stand there and you get to put everyone you have on the lamps until the final form. Just have to reclaim him before every 3 mins or he will possibly depop. A mule can do that. In his final form I think he has 8 mini Dvergr, then 8 Skull lamps, 8 more skull lamps and 8 more skull lamps. They were all bunched up to even count them but pretty sure there was 32 lamps all out together when he was 25% or could have just been 16 lamps. The final form is pretty squishy to melee damage but very strong to Magic damage and chi blast damage. ES Burst II did 200 damage and fully boosted chi blast did 63 damage.

What makes this monster so defeatable is that he does not regen HP when unclaimed and he does not aggro either. Making it one of the most epic and fun fights I have ever seen in ff11. Glad SE created this monster. I cannot wait for any new monsters in WOTG like this one.
