Some comedy related to a recent south park

South Park calls Harley riders "fags" - Hell For Leather

If you haven't seen the Harley fag episode then skip this thread.

You have to read some of the comments, it's classic:

You are a retard. Im sure you do not ride or you would realize that a biker would and should do anything to make them visible. Nobody pays attention nowadays. I have had two friends in the last six months get run into because of a motorist not paying attention. Also, learn how to spell. Its b o l o g n a.
I first put an FMF aluminum pipe on an ZZR600 I owned a few years ago because with earplugs in for highway travel I couldn't hear the engine. The aftermarket pipe let me hear what the engine was doing and the earplugs protected my hearing from wind whoosh and engine sound.
I didn't realize that it was so widely agreed on. I love bikes but I can't stand people who have to ride choppers with after market pipes.

I loved it. sometimes I've wondered if Trey and Matt weren't just a little homophobic, but the fag episode convinced me that they really do just rip on everyone. I thought gay people were portrayed in a very positive light, and bikers... well, bikers who mod pipes were portrayed in exactly the right light that they should be. fucking fags.

the comments on that page were a pretty good read, although I think a few of the people talking about how gay bikers are sort of missed the point. but that's ok. someone's always going to miss the point.

One of them is a homosexual.

    The other is Jewish.

But the episode did not sit easy with the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, an advocacy group that monitors issues of gender identity and sexual orientation in the media. In a news release issued on Thursday night, the group asks for Comedy Central and the “South Park” staff to apologize for what it calls a “slur-filled episode.”
In a statement, GLAAD officials said they recognized that the episode was attempting to “use edgy humor to provide commentary on current issues.” They added: “Yet despite what the ‘South Park’ writers may believe, the definition of the F-word remains one that is harmful and derogatory to the LGBT community.”

The statement, which does not use the word directly, says that the epithet “remains a hateful slur that is often part of the harassment, bullying and violence that gay people, and gay youth in particular, experience on a daily basis in this country. It is an epithet that has real consequences for real people’s lives.”

    It continues:

The creators of “South Park” are right on one important point: more and more people are using the F-word as an all-purpose insult. However, it is irresponsible and wrong to suggest that it is a benign insult or that promoting its use has no consequences for those who are the targets of anti-gay bullying and violence. This is a slur whose meaning remains rooted in homophobia. And while many “South Park” viewers will understand the sophisticated satire and critique in last night’s episode, others won’t – and if even a small number of those take from this a message that using the “F-word” is OK, it worsens the hostile climate that many in our community continue to face.
    Bunch of fags.

I love how the episode pretty much perfectly predicted the reaction from GLAAD.

I definitely see both sides of that debate in the comments, I picked up that it was also about people that drive loud cars and have loud stereos and shit in general. My car's pretty loud when you set it loose, and I'm just a music freak, don't give a shit what it sounds like outside (actually use sound dampeners to keep the sound in, but that's for sound quality, not because i care lol), so I can see how people that have loud shit for reasons other than "zomg look at me!" could get a bit offended.

I found it hilarious in every way though, because even with my shit I laugh like hell at people with cars that sound like extremely loud blenders that play terrible songs really loud because it makes people look at them.

a lot of gay people hate GLAAD, or at least, take issue with some of their statements. they really need to let the fuck up. but I guess when the sole purpose of your organization is to whine about politically correct shit, you kinda have to whine about politically correct shit, whether it makes sense or not.

still, they really do make us look like a bunch of fags.

So, GLAAD is basically Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton if they wore leather chaps and rainbow patches?

I find it too funny that the post that I considered making, but didn't, was executed by good ol' Acturus.

So I was walking into the mall the other day to pick up the wife's bday present when a large group of biker guys were on their way out. There was about 6 of them. The mall entrance/exit at this place has about 3 double doors and they managed to spread out and use all of them forcing me to stand aside as they passed. They were talking very loudly and being generally obnoxious. As they exited, one picked up an orange traffic cone and, using it as a megaphone, did a bad "gay guy" accent and chanted like a cheerleader. They were everything that the episode was about. I chuckled to myself and thought "fags." Thats now one of my favorite south parks just based on the truthfulness of it.

I like to think that I have part of you inside me.

In a totally non-prison way, of course.
