    Looking to upgrade graphic card

As title says, I currently own this XFX Geforce 8800GT 512MB but looking at upcoming games, it seems that most of them will require up to 1 gig graphic memory, and the model I have is getting old.

I was wondering, what's the best choice of upgrade I could get for under 200$ (I could go a bit over, if the money spent is VERY WELL spent)? I was considering this XFX Geforce GTS 250 1GIG but I haven't browsed much, as i'm not exactly sure what to look for, other than memory. Geforce series 6-7-8-9 we're pretty straigh forward, 200 being low end and 800 high but now that the names changed I don't know what I get for my money. I'm not even sure if the card I want to get here as any performance upgrade other than the memory.

Game I would like to be able to run max details on a 24' monitor are:

    FFXIV
    GTAIV
    L4D 2
    CoD: MW2

I've been running on this Newegg.com - XFX HD-487A-ZWFC Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards and it plays everything I've tried so far on max without any problems at all. If you look at the combo deal for 2 and a 700W power supply, you can actually get two for $180 (power supply runs you $90 in that deal, and you can sell that). You can then sell the extra card for at least $100 on eBay or, since it still falls in your budget, use both cards.

I'm no expert or anything, but the card seems to score pretty high on benchmarks, and if you sell the second card in the bundle, the card ends up being dirt cheap, too.

Combo is still 329USD, and I meant 200 CAN funds.

I'm not exactly into selling stuff over the internet either.

The better question is: why are you two looking at old hardware when ATI has released DX11 cards that are vastly superior for not even $90 more?

Even with a discount, the 5850 in Canada comes at a price of 240$. However, you could decide to opt for the 5770 for a slightly less amount and more geared to your budget.
