Might be a bad windows 7 disc actually.

Event log tells you the computer is not writing properly to the hard drive. There could be a defective Southbridge on the motherboard, a bad connection to the hard drive (re-seat the cable), or a bad drive controller (the circuit board on the HD). You ruled out memory. A hard drive can easily go bad from static electricity during removal/replacement as part of changing the motherboard.
In addition, the time frame of the symptoms makes me suspect a poor power supply. At least check that the 4- or 8-pin auxiliary power cable is firmly attached. With inadequate power, most boards will appear to have failing components when loaded, whereas testing individual components won't reveal any defects.
Well I have gotten everything back to normal and so far so good. Been running 7 hours with no freeze or error.
Well I got everything running good, but with only 1 stick of RAM in. I tried the second and third slots with the 2nd stick but then it would crash or freeze. So I thought the RAM was bad.
Today I bought a new stick and tried it. I went afk for 10 minutes and came back the PC had restarted. Then a short time later froze again.
Now I am trying the original 2nd stick of RAM in the fourth slot just to see what happens.
I would guess that I need to get a replacement for this mobo more than likely?
Wouldn't be the first time I've seen a mobo with bad slot(s) for ram. Its one of the rarer occurrences but it does happen.
Well it didn't take long to freeze that time. Seems the only way it runs is with 1 stick of RAM.![]()
Second Memslot is busted.
New mobo ahoy.
Also good job at immediately blaming Windows 7.
Haha, yeah I didn't really think I would get a bad mobo. Got Windows 7 installed when the new mobo was so =/
Well thanks for the input from everyone.
