Recast fixed

This is the best news since a week before the update.

Despite all the people saying, "Oh my god, it's 5 minutes after the update and it's not fixed yet, it's never gonna be fixed, I'm quitting, /wrists."

Out of all the plugins I've used, Spellcast and Recast have definitely spoiled me the most.

Windows key + R -> ipconfig /flushdns -> restart browser

Got a Q maybe yall can help me with too while we are at it. I can get all the plugins to work for me except precognition and pettp is there a reason that yall could think of for this? I have them autloaded but i cant seem to get them to work no matter what i do.

If you don't know how to, don't worry about it. Just redownload recast and put it in plugin folder.

Had the same problem, saw a thread on on the windower forums that someone else was having a problem w/ the chatmon link.

Since your network sucks, start->run
C:\Windows\System32\notepad.exe C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

Add:
67.223.248.111 resources.windower.net
67.223.248.111 forums.windower.net
67.223.248.111 windower.net
67.223.248.111 wiki.windower.net
67.223.248.111 ffxi.us.to

Save

start->run
ipconfig /flushdns

reload browser


You may want to remove these lines in a week or so.

The problem is your networks DNS servers are caching the dns to the old ip address. My work does the same thing.

There wasn't even any 'dns propogation' delays to worry about in this switch. we pulled it off alot smoother. it's just the crappy networks caching dns that are having problems.

And about updating resources.... Are you blind >_>? I put the instructions ON THE SAME LINE YOU COPY/PASTED!

Is it supposed to be there or in my recast folder? I tried loading windower and it still crashed FFXI.

If it's supposed to be in my plugins folder, how do I get it there? Sorry for the newby questions.

Just DL the new one and cut/paste it into the plugins folder, after that right click the 2nd link SAVE as(or what akir said, depends on OS) copy that and past it into the just the windower folder. both times it should ask if you want to move/replace. do so.

If flushdns didn't work, then you need to stop using shitty dns providers

I never knew how much I loved this until it was gone. Is there a donation link for the windower team? Well worth a contribution considering how much less I hate this game with them around.
