    Black Friday Thread

So Black Friday is just under two weeks away and we're already starting to see the deals

Newegg.com: Early Black Friday Deals! Hurry--once they go, they wont be back!

I'm sure I'm not the only one banking on buying some dirt cheap components within the next two weeks, so if you find anything particularly amazing post it here and let others know.

Not exactly a BF deal, but Fry's has some cheap-cheap AM2+ motherboards, ASUS and Gigabyte boards for $20. I picked up one of these since I needed a replacement board anyways. I couldn't find a store nearby that had any of the $20 boards though :/

Posted in the Laptop thread, but Officemax is selling an Acer One Netbook for $150 (office depot's price is $200). I always get excited with BF, but never actually buy anything.

I thought Newegg would offer "cyber monday" deals. I am ordering new parts for a computer from there, think it better to order on Black friday rather than the following monday?

I am haphazardly playing with the idea of building a machine with all the upcoming sales, but really I just want to take advantage of the best deals possible and go from there if I have to--I dont really have too much to spend.

    If I can get a MOBO+CPU+GFX that'd be great

If I can get MOBO+CPU+GFX+RAM that'd be fantastic

    If I can get MOBO+CPU+GFX+RAM+PSU that'd be a steal

I dont really have a "Budget" to work with, I can spend any amount I want, just looking for the best deals myself.

Join the club numbers. I got a good deal on a PSU recently, and waiting for black friday to pick up an i7 board/920 for overclocking. Obviously will need 6 gigs of 1600 ddr3 to accompany the upgrade. If anybody has any advice on a particular brand of mobo to buy for overclocking, I'm all ears. Only requirement is I still need a PATA connection for my dvd drive.

Yeah I'm not even too picky, I'm looking to build a high end gaming machine, but I can supplement with parts I have now to start with if able to. I'm just so sad that I missed the shellshocker like a week ago for a 1.5TB harddrive for $95

Cyber monday is likely to have free shipping, but I'm not totally sure.

For i7 boards, I think evga makes the best for overclocking

Is black friday where a Wal Mart stampede killed a few people last year? Or is this something else.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that last year black friday got pretty out of control at some Wal-Mart's. Honestly I wouldn't be shocked if it has happened a few years.

Opps was looking at the wrong thing, still some new egg prices are getting higher then competitors lately ;/

Like the 250Gb hardrive they advertise... you can get one with a bigger buffer for $36, while newegg shows for $42

(bigger gap on higher end stuff)

I need another 1TB drive... dunno about 2TB drive, would suck to have it crash one day and try to get it all back O_o

Ok, on that page, near the top, the first monitors listed (left to right: LG, Toshiba, Asus)... grab that fucking Asus. That is a spectacular deal and it's an amazing monitor, I'd buy a 3rd if I wasn't already dumping around 1k for my sisters computer. 320$ normal price, 269.99$ with code, and with a 30$ MIB makes it 239.99, thats nearly 100$ off a HUGE 25.5" 1080p 16:10 with a 16:9 option monitor with an HDMI port... oh yeah, free shipping. get.

Just look for normal deals around for 1TB drives. A few weeks ago I went to fry's and they had Hitachi 1TB drives for 69.99. They were trying to get rid of the old 8mb chache ones for the 16mb, but oddly had the 16mb ones for the same price.... So I bought 4.

    Best story ever

This is also the kind of stuff I'm hoping to find this weekend. Newegg's morning shellshocker was like a 750GB for $65 or something, hardly a deal. But a 1TB for $70? That's a deal.

Prices are going to get a lot better than that; I got a 50" Samsung TOC650 1080p plasma for $800 a few weeks ago at Sears.
