I think you should control your download speed so you don't exceed 25

You guys are lucky to even have that download speed, I can't even get 1 mb/sec (In quebec, canada)

Maybe someone can give me a little insight as to why my downloads seem to be shot lately. Ever since I added peer block and blocked http on uTorrent, I can barely get over 50kb/s on anything I donwload. Speed test says i'm supposed to be at 4MBs and I'm paying for an 8 MB/s connection. I used to be downloading at like 800kb/s-1mb/s.

Downloads vary greatly based on a number of factors. More often than not, the host site is the bandwidth problem, not your connection. Additionally, if you have cable internet, you may be running into bandwidth choking during peak times causing your speeds to be decreased.

If you are only referring to torrents, disregard what I stated above and run some tests both with and without the peerblocker thing. Not a torrent guy so I don't know how much help I could give on that topic.
