Arrested for harassment?

Cops don't need a reason to arrest someone apparently, that's the whole point of this thread. Basically you can call the cops and say your neighbor has been harassing you for weeks and they will come get him without any evidence or proof. During this time you're free to build whatever evidence you feel like making up until the trial date. It's pretty bullfuck am I wrong?

If you've been arrested for no reason, call the DA and ask him when the charges are going to be dropped.

By definition, yeah. All they are going to do is issue a restraining order anyway, so it really wouldn't have any positive outcome for anyone. It'll just be a lateral dickhead move.

Force their hand, what he gets might not be the same as her. If its not the same judge odds are the outcome will not be the same.

He admitted to telling the mother about his daughter having sexual relations with her boyfriend. Did you not read that? Whether it was through text or verbal, it's a crime. The crime itself is black and white. Harassment can be made with a singular text message, the only thing that repetition will effect is the sentencing. He has no priors and if he takes his lashes and leaves them alone, the sentencing will be next to nothing. As I said, it's as big a deal as you want to make it. If you go in and just take it, I honestly think that at worst, you're looking at a restraining order and a probationary sentence.

How is telling someone's mom, who already knew from the past relationship, that he had sex with his legal daughter harassment? I am literally completely confused by this. And any legal consequences are big deals if you do nothing wrong. Prior convictions can fuck people in the ass hard sometimes.

Mom just got off the phone with the lawyer and he said that it was the ex girlfriend who pressed charges. However provided that she never asked me personally to stop and that she had the option to block my number that this is nothing to worry over.

Also my mom is furious now and hopes that it goes to trial so she can testify all the things my exgirlfriend has said about her mother and all the times she has snuck to our house to stay the night behind her mother's back.

So after she left, my brother was running late and I was at the mall/complex where we ate and sitting outside on the bench there, waiting for my brother. After sitting there for about 40 mins, 4 cop cars pull up and two get out and start asking me a bunch of questions (this is on the "rich" side of town btw).

Proceeded to ask for my ID, and when I reached for it they screamed "HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM"
After seeing I was from Florida, and I told them I'm on vacation here, they asked some general questions and I told them that I'm a college student visiting his grandmother on vacation, they seemed to eeze up, but really, some cops are just plain assholes.

Back on topic, since this is alabama, it's a class C misdemeanor, the lowest of the low misdemeanor crimes. Since your mother is intent on fighting one of the smallest possible crimes you can commit, I wish you luck.

The cop I had was a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge dick. I still have the indentions on my wrists from how tight the handcuffs were. Aside from that he pulled over on the way to the station dragged me out to search me only to throw me back in. Ontop of all of this he didn't even let me grab some socks or shoes (I had mono friday-sunday and my throat is still sore as fuck) I was sick as balls when I got arrested. Literally shivering.
