NIC Card issues - limited/no connectivity on network

So, I built my Frankenstein computer last night and was getting everything updated and had everything up and running just fine but after letting Windows do some automatic updates and a reboot my NIC card stopped working. I tried everything I could think of to fix it. I've tried disabling it and reenabling it, going into cmd prompt and flushing dns, release/renew, running winsockfix, and uninstalling it in device manager and rebooting but NOTHING is fixing it. I've had no problems with the NIC card in the past and it was working perfectly fine until I did those updates.

It's possible that Windows Update downloaded and installed an incorrect or outdated driver for the card. Go to the manufacturer's site and download their most recent version, and install those drivers.

are you getting a 169 ip address or other?

It's fixed; Windows fucked them up in an update like I thought and as Ceph suggested redownloading the drivers worked. I don't know why a rollback wouldn't though. *shrug*
