She's actually Vietnamese, she was born in Singapore because her parents moved there. Her full name is Tila Nguyen. Nguyen is a Vietnamese last name if you wanted to know, is also the last name of a CNN Reporter named Betty Nguyen who is also Vietnamese . They're not related though.
