Potentially stupid question. I got Wiibrew installed a while back, but haven't actually played anything yet since I couldn't see how to bring games over. Far as accessories go, I have a micro SD card with an SD adapter, and then a 2GB USB thumb drive. And would the process vary at all between Wii games and VC stuff like FF:AY?

The guide posted on the first page has a nice tutorial on homebrew, you will need a SD card, some people report not being able to install homebrew using a microSD+adapter most guides say to only use SD cards.

As far as wii games vs VC the only difference is the things ( IOS) needed to run them. (ciosrev14 for wii games running from USB drive / DVD) (IOS 53 55 56 for Wiiware / VC games)

I wound up using the SSB custom stage hack to get Wiibrew installed. Bannerbomb didn't work and I was already updated past the Twilight hack's usefulness. Would tinker more, but my Acekard came for my DS so I'm getting that all configured now.

    ok I'm stupid.

I got an extra external enclosure so decided to give the usb loader a try.

    What's the difference between 222 and 249? (wiiflow) -_- I tried both of them, and neither worked, saying like "IOS 222 rev 2 or later is required", but, I thought I had updated all of my IOS, I guess not? someone help me ; ;

    I'm on 4.1u

When I run that, it gives me a screen, that just says:

    cIOS Installer
Select IOS for install <35> (this scrolls through a few different ones)
Press left/right to select other different IOS
    A continue, B abort

Select IOS249 to perform the install
Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select IOS38 merged with IOS37
    Run the installer again
This time select Custom IOS 223 and select IOS38 merged with IOS60

This is all that shows up when I run that cIOS 222 installer v4, which is what you linked. There are no options that say anything close to what you listed.

    edit: Ok, I think I get what you're saying. but, the list of IOS to install on the first page are only: 4, 9-17, 20, 21, 22, 28, 30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 50, 53, 55, 56, 57, 60, 61, 70, 254. No 249.

Do you have 249 installed? It's probably not a good idea to install 222 without 249...

Had a few issues, apparently my IOS15 was version 523 or something, couldn't downgrade it or what not, but I just skipped that step, installed 249, then installed the CIOS stuff to it. Then I ran your program, and it seems to be working ok so far (*'-')

Loaded up the new mario, works ok, except that the game is rather.. boring, lol. Maybe I'll finish Okami tomorrow. I'm sad that you can't play GC games this way

    Thanks everyone!

Yeah it does suck that you cannot play GC games from USB loader at least you can play them off a burned DVD on the wii.

Any tips on how to install a wad? I've started branching out from my basic emulators on my wii.

    use WiiSX

Some games are already playable or decent enough to play on it.

There is a list of games that work / don't work on GBA temp

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/WiiSX/Compatibility There are more games that work not on the list.

Get the version that has Classic Controller support

Edit: The version i got is from the site i get my wii stuff from, wiiso.com gotta register but after you do it has lots of info about wii homebrew / backups
