homosexuality is both genetic and environmental. I have never understood why this concept is so hard to grasp. it's probably a mix of both for most people. some guys can grow up with an absent father and a psychotic mother and still love women. some guys can have a dad who's gone for a year and end up fucking some dude's ass. it all depends.

Both sides of this argument bore me. Gays that flaunt their sexuality and make it the central component of their entire persona are fucking annoying and should be shot. People who openly hate on all gays because it makes them uncomfortable should also be shot. You know what people I respect the most? Gay people who you wouldn't really guess were gay and who only bring it up when somebody asks them a question pertaining directly to their sexuality, and straight people who say "I'm not comfortable with the whole gay thing, but I respect who you are and I'm not going to make a big deal out of it".

I've been in my first year of University for two months now and only two of my friends actually know that I'm gay. I'm sure that most other people have their inklings or suspicions, but since it's never really come up and they've never seen me with a guy it's a complete non-issue. That doesn't mean I'm ashamed of my sexuality in any way, I just view it as a part of who I am that doesn't need be a constant factor in every aspect of my life.
