A+. I'm glad I was told about this thread before I missed out on the fun of Adam Lambert trolling ABC. He needs to get a hold of Kanye to learn how to be a pro though.

Funny how most people are homophobic because of how popular it is to be or how they were brainwashed growing up... Leave your barbaric thinking in the past, be free ok.
Ahh Vajra, your posts always make me lol for your sorry self. I may not post as often as most people here but fuck, at least I'm not flamebait.
damn those gay people
Before I clicked, I got this confused with Christopher Lambert
It's a cute pictureyou guys suck
unless you guys WANT me to post fap material here
I grew up in the Christian (Seventh Day Adventist) faith (pretty common in Jamaica). The Bible declares punishment on gays, but you can be forgiven (if you repent), God forgives all his children. Can call me a bible thumper, but I don't care.

What does the Bible say about homosexuality? Does scripture condone or denounce the behavior? Is the scripture clear? There are varying opinions on what the Bible says about homosexuality and same-sex relationships, and the best way to understand where the conflict comes from is to learn more about the specific scriptures being debated.
Will Homosexuals Inherit the Kingdom of God?
One of the most greatly debated scriptures regarding homosexuality is 1 Corinthians 6:9-10:
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 - "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (NIV).
While the scripture may sound clear, the debate actually surrounds the use of the Greek word that this particular version of the Bible translates as "homosexual offenders." The term is "arsenokoite." Some say that it is a reference to male prostitutes rather than to two committed homosexuals. Yet, others argue that Paul, who wrote the passage, would not have repeated "male prostitutes" twice. Even others argue that the two root words in arsenokoite are the same terms used to prohibit any premarital or extramarital sexual relations, so they may not refer to homosexual relations alone.
However, even if a person believes that homosexuality is a sin based upon this scripture, the next verse does say that homosexuals can inherit the kingdom if they come to the Lord, Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 6:11 - "And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." (NIV)
What About Sodom and Gomorrah?
In Genesis 19 God destroys Sodom and Gomorrah due to the extensive amount of sin and debauchery going on in the city. Some add homosexuality in with the sins being committed. Others say that it was not just blanket homosexuality being condemned but homosexual rape, meaning it is different from homosexual behavior in loving relationships.
Cultic Homosexual Behavior?
Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 are also debated among denominations and scholars.
Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable." (NIV)
Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." (NIV)
While many Christian denominations and scholars believe these scriptures clearly condone homosexuality, others believe that the Greek terms used were meant to describe the homosexual behavior present at Pagan temples.
Prostitution or Homosexuality?
Romans 1 discusses how the people gave into their lust. Yet the meaning of the acts described are debated. Some see the passages as describing prostitution while others see it as a clear condemnation on homosexual behavior.
Romans 1:26-27 - "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." (NIV)
So, What Does the Bible Say?
All of these different viewpoints on the various scriptures most likely bring up more questions for Christian teens than answers. Most Christian teens end up adhering to the viewpoints based upon their personal beliefs about homosexuality. Others find themselves swayed or more open to homosexuals after examining the scripture.
Whether or not you believe homosexuality is a sin based upon your interpretations of the scripture, there are some issues surrounding the treatment of homosexuals of which Christians need to be aware. While the Old Testament focused on rules and consequences, the New Testament offers a message of love. There are some Christian homosexuals and there are those that desire deliverance from homosexuality. Rather than trying to be God and pass judgement on those individuals, a better option may be to offer prayers to those struggling with their homosexuality.
Now I know BG has alot of Atheists, but WOW didn't know so many were actually gay too, this thread has revealed a lot, and it also proves my point that gays just love to shove their sexuality into people's faces all the time thinking they are proving a point, when they are really just making themselves look like disturbed fiends who are addicted to sex, and must go to lengths to prove that gay sex should be accepted everywhere. Maybe it is better to offer prayer than pass judgment, but it cant be helped sometimes, and in Lambert's case it's just a disgrace to family television like ABC.
so because gays are telling you you are an ignorant fuck, they are shoving their homosexual agenda down your throat?
cool story bro
PS: the bible only hates gays (debatable) because the bible wanted more christians to be made. It's the same as contraception. Using contraception and/or having sex with the same sex = a few less christians running around.
Gay is not a race, so stop trying to make it seem like I'm discriminating. People aren't born gay, it's a mental condition they develop. It's possible to be treated, you just have to go to church, and try hard nukka. I'm going to stop judging you guys though, I'll just keep praying that you become enlightened by the scripture someday. Only God can pass judgment, and you will be held accountable on Judgment Day.
Mmm, this thread is going to deliver more funness(word?) today. Vajra is an amazing troll, intentional or not. Bringing bible verses into play when all else fails is a 100% guaranteed fact to rile BG feathers and stir up a debate. And here I thought the thread was going to be dead.
lol
Let me give you a little bit of insight:
Homosexuality is innate, you are born that way. Ask any gay person who is comfortable with themselves. You don't really "find out" until puberty starts to happen, but I can assure you I had quite a few gay attractions when I was younger.
Homosexuality is not a mental condition. It was listed as one in the earlier printings of the DSM, because back then, that's what they thought at the time.
And lastly, no, homosexuality can not be "treated". Homosexual desires can be repressed, but that's just not healthy.
Oh wow, this is starting to get good.
wait wait wait wait... so we should be punishing people for a mental condition? why are we not burning schizophrenics/bipolars/clinic depression? and if that's the case how come we aren't praising or worshiping the people who say God told them to kill their families. God obviously chose them for some reason. From what I'm understanding it's okay and acceptable to kill in the name of God even if it's your own family... but why is it looked down upon? or are the people that look down on it just liberal crybaby gay supporters?
Next time I kill someone I'll just say God told me to do it.
"sorry officer... God told me to burn them! mwaahh mwa~~~hhh" *crowd laughs*

I'm not sure I buy this personally. My thinking is along the lines that everyone is born with greater or less inclination towards that side of the spectrum, and then a vast array of environmental and biological factors determine whether or not it manifests itself and to what extent. That's just a theory, though, I'm not saying you're definitely wrong.
pretty sure the scientific consensus has more or less been it's both nature and nurture
kuya knows, I remember him quoting something a while back
