Aion Mass Bannings

I'm actually pissed about the bannings. Fluxes and aether is up to record highs. It was enough to get me off my ass and level aethering (gathering was already 320, but that's my lifeblood as a weaponsmith,) but fluxes are absolutely killing me now. The weapon market has completely dried up on my server as well. No one will buy greens/blues anymore, no matter how low they sell.

One thing that's really pissing me off is I made two WND Adamantium polearms for 40. One sold for 5m, the second I've been listing for weeks in a "price war" with another guy. We're down to 3.1m dropping in 100k intervals. We're not relisting every other day either, it's everytime the goddamn thing gets sent back.

This. The already bad crafting market got turned upside down instantly; fluxes going for 3-4x their value, NQ expert gear reaching 2m just to break even (on gloves/boots) with no one buying due to the bad market. Hell, even golds are a loss at this point conisdering you're eating the cost of nqs, and won't be able to sell anything.

All I know is grinding on my gladiator has sucked 40+ and it's annoying I almost have to behave like a bot unless I want to be chugging a potion every time the timer's up. 875 sparkies to ding! Whee!

The constant, "Are you a bot?!" comments from passerbys get old, too.

I get that too when I'm on Glad, I'm pretty sure it's the occasional sitting. People send me whispers like "Hey.", and I respond "Hiyas.", and they'll be all "lol was just making sure you'
re not a bot.". Thing is I Dual Wield when I'm grinding, and just simply watching me play would probably show I'm not a bot as they tend to just skill mash and I have to weave etc. >_>

I was leveling a 2nd char and I had someone come up to me and follow me around for 5 min spamming "hey are you a bot?" and I didn't even reply back at all. I told people that were on vent at the time though and they all starting spamming him in whispers "Hey are you a bot?" The guy got all pissed. I laughed pretty good at that though lol

Wielding the banhammer on Xbox Live and other static virtual communities (like this little blog here) can be a strangely disconnected experience. One second you're here, the next you've vanished. Not so in Aion: Tower of Eternity.

In that game, you know when you've been banhammered because a giant freaking rabbit shows up or a flaming squirrel materializes and then blasts you into a volcanic fissure. It's pretty dramatic.

My big question is why banhammer videos are always set to alternative rock or whiny club music. Why not do it like this one with the tasteful classical music?

I'll just say here, my characters are Raelissa and Allie, 41 Chanter and 39 (40 in like 3 more repeats of this skeleton quest..!) Gladiator. As for legion, I'm actually the leader of Phoenix Order. Dunno if you've seen us around, we're relatively small... 75% of us are current/former FFXI players from Gilgamesh. I'll be honest, we're not very big (we are level 3 though) and aside from our resident Asmo terrorizing SM don't do a whole lot of PvP. We also kind of have weird peak hours, like.. 9pm-midnight PST. XD

Hehe, then you would've seen me a lot earlier this evening running around while you were on Allie. Blown like 100% rest bonus and 2 lodas amulets on that stupid skeleton grind to get me from like 2/5 into 42 to 43.

I think the server is acting up, I switched over to Chanter to help legion take an artifact, then when I got back to town after we took it I just couldn't do anything at all, but it wasn't dcing me. ><

Are those skeles really the best grind till 43? I'm gonna be so sick of them.. XD
