was gonna ask this but didnt wanna look silly. im not really familiar with all of the terms outside of the ones i already knew.

all I can think of is, sometimes when I'm REALLY high, and stand up too quickly after sitting down, the blood rushes to my head (or away from?) and my vision gets blurry. a couple times, it's been so bad that I couldn't see at all, and at least once or twice I almost started to pass out... but it wasn't like passing out. it was like your consciousness just starts disconnecting from your brain, then comes back in a few seconds. I'm still not doing it justice though, it's a very hard feeling to describe, since it's almost like a lack of feeling.

weird thing is, it doesn't happen with alcohol, or any other drugs... just pot. it's probably just a normal reaction to the change in blood flow that happens to people whether sober or otherwise, and for some reason pot makes it more likely to happen to me.

whiting out would definitely be a great term to describe it though. it fits pretty well.

anti-drug programs, which go all-out and make it sound like every illegal drug will kill you and rape your family, end up doing more harm than good sometimes. if you learn from a drug program that pot is the devil, then try it and find out it isn't, you're more likely to think that what they told you about coke, and heroin, and meth, was all wrong, and that those drugs are all just as harmless as weed. so in the end the anti-drug program's scare tactics just push people into trying things they might not have instead of educating themselves and taking appropriate and calculated risks.

every single drug I've taken I've read about in books as well as extensive numbers of personal reports on sites like erowid. if people would do this, they'd realize that very few substances are as evil as we make them out to be... except meth. man, fuck meth.

I haven't done any other drugs than pot, but I've been smoking my joint every day for a year or so now, and before that 2-3 times a week for 2-3 years, but I've done the same researches as you did about drugs and their effects on the human body since I wanna know what the fuck I'm ingesting. As you said, anti-drug campaigns and the fact that they were introduced a few generations ago makes it very difficult to break out of the mold created by your parents and society in general making you think that drugs are the devil, kind of like Waterboy's mom rationality would put it. If you're wondering, I'm not doing other drugs not because I'm a pussy or whatever other jock reason you could think of, but simply because I enjoy my joint and don't really feel like doing anything else.

Shit happened to me a few times as well, two of them were when I was in the bus/metro and scared the shit out of me, but it goes away a few minutes later.

I only started smoking about 6 months ago. I don't go to crazy, only 2 times a week max. It saves me cash on nights we go out to the bar as well.

I just smoke a blunt right before we go out, and I only need a beer or 2 for the rest of the night to feel fantastic. No worrying about hangovers in the morning, no worrying about staying up all night puking up excess alcohol lol.

that's what everyone should do. do what you're comfortable with. I don't want to get into detail since I'm typing from work, but there are some things I've tried that I love and will do again at every chance, some I've tried that I don't like, and some that I haven't ever tried and never will. everyone has their own comfort zone, everyone enjoys different substances in different amounts.

This. I had a close friends smoke with me for his first time not to long ago and after he did he started freaking out because he's a college athlete and they get random drug tests.. he got high as balls and thats all he could think about.

I used to be like that, I couldn't even walk by a cop car while high without freaking out. but you get over it.

I always used to freak out when I saw cops and I had anything on me, now my mindstate is "fuck it, if I get caught I get caught" because here anything under an 1/8 is a $60 fine and a 2hour class for your first two times. Ive had worse speeding tickets

The first time I did it, I had an experience similar to yours. I was by myself.. this was like freshman year of highschool I think? I smoked a couple bowls in my back yard and started walking towards the house not feeling anything. When I got inside and started walking up the stairs my whole world started spinning and I didn't know what the fuck was going on, I felt like I was going to die haha. That was some of the freakiest shit i've ever been through. I'm pretty sure it was anxiety induced. Now i'm usually fine but sometimes ijust feel like moving around and doing shit, if I sit down I get pretty anxious, but other times i'm chill as fuck.
