I've never really properly loved anyone but the girls i thought i loved i applied several things.

There was a link a while ago to a word document to "being dumped sucks" and it listed things you should do, and not to do. This was great!

I also still feel the expression "you never stop loving someone, you learn to live without them", just my personal belief, because even a year down the line i either hate the girl to no extent or have no feelings.

For me at least, "you never forget" is pretty bullshit. You forget your childhood friends. You forget your college friends. You forget your crushes. You forget everything that you don't make a conscious effort to remember. If what you want to do is forget, then just don't want to remember it and wait.

Go out and stay busy. Also, I'm an advocate of cutting off contact and eliminating things from your life that remind you of them too strongly. What's over is over, and the best way to forget it is to not put yourself in a situation where you end up thinking about it.

Well, or you could do this:
1) Find and rent a panda suit.
2) Go to a payphone that isn't near your house.
3) Call around to local zoos until you find a zoo with a llama.
4) Sneak into the zoo at night and steal the llama.
5) Tame and befriend the llama. The panda suit might help with this, or it might not.
6) Ride said llama around town in your panda suit during the day, dodging cops and generally having fun with your llama friend.
7) Elope with your llama to Canada. Or if you're Canadian, elope to Minnesota.
8 ) Either direction, you should make an effort to fight some mounties. Pin one down and make it say "Eh?" for extra credit.
9) You may start your new life fighting animals in the wilderness as the first North American Panda with your llama compadre.

One of my best friends is a girl that I'd never want to get in a sexual relationship with at all, ever.

I mean, she looks decent enough, it's not the looks or anything I just think of her like a sister. She had feelings for me and eventually came out and just told me as much. I let her know how I felt and she was all over me for about 3 years. I never really did anything mean to her to keep her at a distance. I just told her that to me it would feel like dating my sister and I just wasn't comfortable with that and anytime it came up I just kept it at that. Nothing really came of it and we still kick it.

I happen to have the school of thought that, like it or not, any guy who has a (non-blood-relative) female friend secretly wants to bang her. Maybe you wouldn't bang her even if given the chance, but the fact that you would if there weren't any consequences is enough. Girls can have guy friends who they would never even think about touching in a sexual manner, ever. That's why shit hits the fan when guys and chicks get too close "as friends". I think learning to accept this is a big step. Get it in your head that you're only friends, nothing will ever come of it, but when you're alone whacking off, you're gonna think about banging that female friend... and that's okay.
