Actually, I was annoyed with the website for giving deviantart-esque unique little snowflakes a justification for obsessing over fictional characters.

But yes, Max, I do think you'd do that because you seem to have this obsession with being special. Take the part of that other thread where you tried to say you weren't an atheist because... well honestly I forget what your justification was, but it was obvious the real reason was because being an atheist would be too mundane for you.

I'm quite aware of the large number of people who self-diagnose as an excuse for social awkwardness, and other such things.


Usually they go looking for something to claim, and then try to fit it, saying "don't pick on me, I'm an Aspy, it's not right, feel sorry for me".

Some shit like that, or the "I'm special, I must be an Aspy" argument.


I didn't know this shit existed, literally I learned about it while reading a sci-fi book.

One character mentioned a kid in the story showing signs of it, and rattled off things.

I GET that kid, of all the characters in the book, he seemed normal.

Not the "omg I'm a special butterfly" or "well I'm an awkward genius" stuff, the inability to tell what the fuck is wrong with the rest of you guys, why I do certain things, and always have, that sort of shit.

Reading up on it made me go "hmmm", recognize it as a viable hypothesis for my oddness, talking to people with it confirmed what I was suspecting, they're normal. Just like me.

Honestly yes. You seem perfectly normal to me. At least not any different from anyone else. And I am talking with respect to how you post and the things you say. You are a very intelligent individual when it comes to math and physics and you are talented in those areas. But you do not seem any more or less logical or any more or less socially awkward than anyone else on these boards.

Granted you asked the question to a forum and the only experience we have with you is posts on said forums.

Edit: From my perspective Max in my head you are part of the large collective group of people in the world outside of my head. You are not in a different group from anyone else.
