So everybody is SVER correct? I thought of going Valor because of their weapons being balanced.

SVER = more stopping power but less accuracy
Valor = balance between the two
Raven = less stopping power but higher accuracy

I'm going to get it tomorrow when I get white knight.

Just an fyi to new players, don't just play a game and give up on it, took me like 5 games to get the full hang of it. I did not like the beta but now that I have given it a shot haveing a blast. Going to play this over cod for the time.

Edit. Can a mod make a edit to the name of the thread? Chane to just mag, we are not after beta keys anymore !_!

A lot of people seem to be jumping into this game thinking it's just another FPS k/d streak spree where you're shooting anything that moves and that's it. It seems to be the biggest complaint, that this game is "slower" and harder then other FPSs. It's pretty much the FFXI of FPSs, very rough and grueling to start, but very rewarding in the end as every fight actually means something beyond simple stats.

Also, as far as I've seen, all the guns are more or less the same outside of ammo count on LMGs. The "stronger gun" argument is usually just BS, as I've killed, and been killed, by guns of all factions just as easily as the next. The best example of this is Suppression, where everyone has the same gear since you're all in the same PMC, yet people will still complain the other side has "stronger gear".

Maps on the other hand are a completely different story. Screw you SVER, screw you and your Sabo A, your bunkers in front of your gates and your defusing bombs through walls.

I never understood why some people say point B is the most difficult on that Sabotage map. It might be harder to get to, but once you're there it's much much easier to defend. On A all you've gotta do to claim it is go underneath, possibly with improved stealth, and take it from there. The hardest part is holding it though, what with all the openness toward the spawn point. A group going along the train has a much higher chance of success than just running through where both of the squads are looking

I fucking hate Valors Sabo map. Maybe it's the idiots I play with but we can never take both points at the same time.

might be the idiots, but Valor is the hardest of the other 2 PMCs' sabotage maps. Being able to snipe the objective without actually dropping from the spawn location makes it fairly difficult to get to A in particular, in my experience

if there is not a new thread called "mag discussions" by the morning ill make it LOL. *beta* might turn people away from reading...

edit: and yes sometimes it seems like no matter how well your group works there are just some maps that you can not get past anything. Its just the start and for the size of it is running great. They do need to tweek a few things to make it more fair to both sides fighting/defending but overall I would say the balance of the game is very good for the start of it. even more so I am amazed it was this smooth of a ride for the open of the game, its fucking hard to make a thing this size fair for everyone.

Beta did its job very well with this game I would say. This has to be a record for least gliching/unbalance anything in video game history.

    thinking to recent FPS games

CoDMW2, CoDWAW and halo2/3 the gliching in all of them was out of hand and even still in MW2 >.>

hell go back to socom1/2 , getting into walls, rapid firing cheats, snipers with zoom in cheats. people cheating to rank up(guess not cheating but 1 vs 10 where the guy hid in a room and claymored himself in was sorta cheating ~_~ cant say anything about that tho I did that when I hit the top 1000.

edit100: Think the repair should be upped a tad. maybe 2-3 points depending on what it is. 1 point for a game changing repair seems a tad low. maybe some road blocks stay 1 but repair a bunker, AAA road blocks right by the cars , motoers and so on should be 2-3

I might have the points confused, as I haven't played it in a few days. With SVER Sabo, you have the point on the right (if you're an attacker) near the sniper's wall. It's easy enough to storm by having a team charge the front while another flanks from the wall itself. This one is easier to take and hold due to the three ways up, with only one really impossible to climb. The other one is a building where the only way up to it is two very thin, very long flights of stairs facing the enemy spawn points, where there's just a building full of snipers waiting for you to peak your head out. While you can sweep around down the train tracks, those steps open up across from the upper level of the target where people are already waiting and aiming their guns down at you. This is the impossible death trap that's "easy to hold"...but holding it isn't the problem, it's getting to it that hurts.

Valor's Sabo A and B are by far the weakest. A good rush by even an unorganized team can take those points since they can be easily surrounded and stormed. I see more back and forth with Valor's maps then any other map. But since the goal of the match isn't to hold, but just get both at the same time, constantly having it go back and forth means more chances to lose both at the same time. However, Valor does have a stronger C then Sver, but a concentrated effort with enough time...or even an eager camper who does nothing but sit at C is enough to eventually win the match once A and B drop.

In my experience SVER's B (your right side) is almost always the first one to be held in either case. About A: most of the time, after the initial surge, I've noticed very few people actually pay attention to those train tracks that go underneath A. After that, most of the damn team heads off toward your bunker and that choke point between buildings.

Thinking about it more, I'd probably send the whole platoon toward B first, and then get alpha and bravo to do their job from there. Much more winnable that way.

About Valor's C: I've found that 90% of the time, if we win that map, we entered through the long ass stairway facing away from Valor's spawn point. Should be the easiest place to guard, but for some reason it's the route to a win almost every time.
