I'm loving this but I made the mistake in joining Raven because we CANNOt win a fucking game at all.

I created a Raven, eh,
I'm not good at FPS, but if we're in the same room, just give me orders, and I'll follow as best I can.

Also, so far, haven't been able to access the beta/bug forum. Some sort of Sony site internal stupidity. Instead of giving me a beta tag, it gave me the RLS tag, which is dumb because I haven't worked for gamestop in years.

Anyone still giving this beta a serious try? I've grinded up to level 15 so far with Valor. Not a bad game, but my god...shitty players can ruin a battle in so many ways.

I don't find the controls to be too cumbersome. A little getting used to and you can take down scores of enemies w/ no trouble at all.

TBH I am not having all that much fun with the beta, went back to MW2 after a few games. I am going to wait for the release and see how it is changed. Just not doing it for me.

I think I am just to use to CoD style of play maybe. It just does not seem to play as smooth.

Also from my experience, the spawn system is terrible. You die, you have to fucking hike like 2 mins back to the fight zone, just to die again. 2 minutes might not seem alot, but in a fps online game, thats a damn eternity

Ok I need to expand on this a bit, so I clear my conscious to give this game its fair shake.

Once you play Domination (the 256 player mode), the whole spawning system changes from what I was playing earlier. If you don't get idiots that drive your humvee (or whatever it is) 300 M from your objective, its a fairly dynamic system, for the better or worse. Also the pace picks up exponentially. The other modes I would average 9-11 kills, but in domination, that pumps up to the 30's, and even sometimes the 40's.

I won't lie, this is growing on me. But its hard to justify playing this with MW2 looking at me.

I just played a round, I blow at up close (OFC), even heavy armor seems to be made of paper.

The sniping seems to be easier than in Warhawk or Metal Gear Online though.

I just wish training wasn't locked.

EDIT: I can also see the need for the free beta codes, you need a HUGE playerbase for 256 to fire fast

Only thing heavy armor gives it makes you walk/run slower but no real protection.

The Clan system is pretty bland you just invite, promote/demote, kick from clan, and player search to invite to the clan. I hope it'll be better when it releases in jan.

Got a key yesterday, played a little today, this game has definite potential but it's easy to see the flaws. I do like it though, can't wait for the official release to play some of the other modes.

now that it is onto public beta & there's some talk about the controls, I guess it is ok to post this;

someone was complaining how this control scheme is a lag nightmare and I really don't see how. It can get massively annoying when you are in a pinch, but so far since day one of private beta, there has never been any lag associated with the game. There game freezes, but never lag. The game has stayed true to it's no lag claim.

Sniping is garbage, should be more like WH. Takes so many hits just to kill a player, unless my rifle needs to be improved or something? I'm not too excited about this game. Also, is it me or it's hard to identify the enemy from fellow teammates? I guess I'm too used to WH.

you pretty much have to hit the player in the temple for a one hit kill. I was able to get a 7 streak on my first time back bout an hour ago. Also, your guys have the blue triangle & the enemy has a red triangle. When sniping, don't stay in sight mode the entire time. Pan back and look for red triangles, then zoom in and kill.
