    Um... That's my point?

People think that this is subjective, but it's not. There have been established standards of measurement for a long time now.

Standards of measurements for colours is the single most retarded thing I've ever heard. It's right up there with measuring how pure someones intentions are

I've always thought it was purple. But bringing it up in the viewer it definitely looks more blue.

It will always be purple in my heart though.

    EDIT:

Wikipedia has an interesting chart compared Purple and Blue. I voted for Indigo though, although I thought about Ultramarine and Violet too. Purple is normally much more "pink/red" than Violet. Well, I was an art student and took color theory class once or twice too. :D

I didn't know there was math and code involved in measuring God vs. Hitler. This isn't paint and the human eye is not a variable here.

Not sure how you got that exact point to check... just a random single pixel from somewhere in the colored area of question, I suppose. Even from reading the numbers you supplied (which aren't a true average) it's only a few humanly indiscernable points towards the red side.

I think it's just the gold trim being in close proximity of the blue that's skewing people's perception.

Also, pull the .dat file and open that in Photoshop instead of a screenshot from inside of a model viewer. Take the variables out.

Back to the semantics bit. I'm talking colloquial semantics--how we actually use language for description in the real world.

In the winter months in colder climates, given a day where the temperature is above freezing, one might remark "it's nice and warm today." Meanwhile, if your friend flies in from Florida and you pick him up at the airport, he/she might remark "it's quite chilly." Naturally, it's all relative.

Color spectra and temperatures have absolute values, but when we describe things we very often speak relatively.

Look around you on a given day and count how many "blue" things you see. Then count how many purple things you see. If I do this right now in the room I'm in, the blue things might outnumber the purple things ~12:1. Blue is a much more familiar color to us.

Thus, it's common to look at things that aren't that purple and call them purple simply because they're far enough away from the standard blue colors that you repetitively see. It doesn't have to super-duper purple, just far enough from the traditional blue shades you're so used to seeing on a daily basis, that you can classify it as "not blue."

Idk what to say. Coming from a colloquial language (perfectly fine) standpoint, and not an RGB-politically-correct standpoint, it looks fuckin... purple.

the dude in the back is clearly wearing a blue robe. if you look at him and the ada berk you can see that it is more purple than blue. the robe he's wearing is a pretty dark shade of blue too.

Actually, I see a purple a.berk and a blue robe too >.>.. in that picture.

Maybe people's eyesight/color-distinction vary due to physiology differences from genetic variation? :/

AGAIN I'll say to take a 5x5 averaged sample of any area within the armor. You'd be surprised at how tight the groupings of colors are.
