    Peculiar display of knowledge techniques.

    That's a new one.

It would make you an asshole if I didn't openly invite it, at least if you don't get what I'm saying, I can get a laugh or two. Whatever's clever, Trevor.

Perhaps. Its nice to find people that can take jabs in good cheer. I still walk around everywhere carrying a sliderule that I prefer to use over a calculator, which derives no end to ridicule from my colleagues. However, its just my personal preference to use it, and I don't mind a little fun at my own expense. As I alluded to earlier, that whole laughing at yourself thing.

I know for fact that is not the case, Woozie is a double major Math/Physics, Kaylia is too iirc, Neo and Krys are just bad motherfuckers and are actual physicists and a nuclear physicists. Khamsin is an engineer, Eliseos and I am a Grad student in the Cosmology department etc. I know I'm off of a few of those but they get the gist of what I'm saying lol , they all are extremely smart and some are just over the top smart.
I missed/skimmed over this before, but I thought important to point it out - I'm a nuclear reactor operator, not a physicist. I haven't done any research or the like since 2003. I probably should have stayed with that line of work, as I remember it being far more enjoyable than what I do now. Hindsight, 20/20, etc. I've managed to keep my theory knowledge at a much higher level than a typical person would, for example I know of only one other person who can recite the explanation for cosmic ray induced fission at work without using references, and only about 3 other people besides myself that can derive kinetics equations from memory. But that just makes us geeks/diggits/nerds/etc, because that information isn't necessary in my current field of operations.

I guess its just my way of retaining some memories of happier times. Once my instructor tour is over and my contract ends in fall of 2012, I'm probably going to be done with nuclear power, unless I can convince myself to get back into studying and convince someone else to hire me on as a designer/planner for one of the Gen IV cores. Or fusion, seeing as that was my original field back in college. Either way, it would essentially be a complete reset of knowledge level, back to the basics, since most of the Gen IV cores are fast reactors and fusion is its own special animal. The theory models are all their own little genres, and you can't really cross reference between them except for generic observations.

Somehow I see my laziness, procrastination, and general jadedness of operations winding me up in a different field though. Guess we'll see.

Hey man, slide-rules rock. I'm with you there.

I appreciate the compass, straightedge, slide-rule, protractor, pencil, and paper type stuff. It's very satisfying.
