ffxiv will be popular at start. after a while people set off on it cause they played it a bit. many ppl will go to Diablo III (which looks like WoW in shit-modus; still fuggly this graphics) an others to the oh so damn good Bioware games where you can choose every line of dialog by yourself and masturbate with a cactuar in your butt.
FFxiv will prevail and here's why:
- ppl from ffxi (that at least give itz some time a try)
- .... (honestly i dunno what ffxiv will keep ppl beside the fact it tries something different, yeah let'S go with that)
it's different.
different from orcs that look like green mudd in WoW, undeads who look like a visual course of the gothic-zone, thats what ffxiv is not gonna be.
i will try it myself and then go back too ffxi to get at least some endgamestuff.
come on Star Wars. what ppl on earth that haven't a lack of social awareness like Star wars? i mean that much that you wanna play a "little man in a soldier suit"? fuck no every asshole wants to be the one in star wars. and that is why That mmo will fail over a long period of time.
Star Wars my ass.
Since more than half of the players I met in FFXI have never played a FF game, or just the recent ones prior its release (X and X-2 mostly), I think that all the publicity FFXIII is receiving right now is going to attract a lot of first-time players to FFXIV as well.
Taken from an article at Eorzeapedia about TGS.So far I haven't found any recent articles yet where SE specifically says they're still focusing on XIII for bigger news releases, but I didn't look too far for this article. It makes sense for them to focus on a game that's just about to come out so that's probably why everyone took what they said at TGS to mean that we won't hear anything too big on XIV until XIII is out.As for nothing be available at TGS, the company’s decision was to focus on FFXIII.
Reading between the lines with s-e has never been fruitful so I'm taking that with a grain of salt.
I doubt we'll hear any big news for a few more months. Probably more weapons bs. "Here's what shit will look like but we're sure as hell not going to tell you how it applies to gameplay".
Petition to make FF14 a sub-forum with "Elmer Only" updates:
How good will 14 be? Depends on how much SE has actually learned from 11.
I don't think there will be an issue with survivability. SE knows how to market their product in Japan.. that alone will keep it going for a however long
And if they have actually learned from their mistakes, FF14 has potential to be very polished. 11 has enough excellent qualities that I would be willing to see what they would do in their 2nd MMO.
I wouldn't worry until the game comes out.
Wow, excellent string of recent threads here guys.
Go look at what eorzeapedia and ffxivcore have been posting on twitter. Its not any better.
Todays topic, "so I had a dream about ffxiv"
Good thing I think twitter is shit then.
Technically we're dying because we're alive. FFXIV cannot be dying since it hasn't been born yet. Still, it could die from abortion or miscarriage I suppose. However, once its born then we can say for sure that it is going to die.
I am pro-choice, so if SE needs to coat hanger FFXIV then I respect their decision.
FF has a loyal fanbase, so theirs no need to worry. It's why companies make MMOs based on existing fantasy literature/games, to get that guaranteed customer base.
I personally won't be playing it though cause SE has disappointed me a lot with the way they acted during FFXI in terms of customer/GM support, not to mention that they seem to be moving in the direction of a micro-transaction based business model now. {No thanks.}
