Plows got the right idea.
I know he doesn't just need calories, but eatting that entire beef cake thing would certainly help him to put on some weight.
yeah when trying to put on muscle you cant just eat things thinking to put on weight then turn to muscle.. ie do not eat mcdonalds or anything fast food, go stock up on steaks and chicken and fish
quit trying to take shortcuts that will affect your health later in life and just work for it naturally.
what's your shake intake like?
smoke weed
Muscle Milk blended with ice and water is delicious. If you can't handle that, then you're not going to be able to handle any shake.
(it's not the best shake you can use nutritionally but it's the tastiest)
Find a protein shake that you can tolerate, drink those, and eat loads of egg beaters, ground turkey, chicken, fish (if you like it, tuna is the easiest), beef, cottage cheese, and eat things like peanut butter, almonds, or cashews as snacks.
You need to up your protein content. Be sure to eat at least every two hours or so, too (even if it's only a handful of almonds).
syntha-6, best protein i've came across personally, i buy a case of bottle water, and a funnel, (did this a ton in afghanistan as water is free over there) drink like 2-3 mouth fulls of the 20oz water, funnel in 2 scoops of protein, cap and shake. When your done, toss that shit. Because i hate fucking cleaning my shakers ever fucking day.
If your trying to get your Biceps to pop, try not focusing on them. Use complex excercises such as pullups (over and under handed) and get to the point where your doing 5 sets of 5 reps with progressive weight. I know i stoped blasting my arms and wound up puting an inch on them i think because i wasn't tearing them down as much, by curling the shit out of dumbells. Just weight room advice, do what feels best above all else
i never actually took supplements whenever i work out, i used to consider it a "temporary fix". but after seeing the success people had with it, i cant help but be curious about it. especially how fast some people are getting results in the gym that i used to go to. im maxing out at about 370 whenever i bench, but thats not really anything to be proud of since im naturally a big guy and now im focused on doing lesser weights/higher reps. but im now interested in including these shakes into my diet after talking with residue about it. i just cant find out which one is good for me lol. they have a TON of weight gain ones <_>; i dont need that shit lol. i used to pile up eggwhites so this is gonna be new for me. i gotta do some research and see how much protein i can fit in 1 glass.
its cool as hell to see BG peers all working for a similiar goal though. :D
370 is no joke - how big are you?
