    Synaesthesia is a "trendy" disorder to have, a lot of musicians claim to have it, and it's also impossible to prove someone doesn't have it unless they're just totally off-base describing it.

    There's clinical tests that can weed out liars, but yeah you can't exactly get people to sit down and do that, especially if they have a good reason to avoid doing so.
