This game had potential, but from the first minutes it screams "We tried to copy Call of Duty and failed horribly", from the opening sequence, to opening doors MW2-style with slow-mo hostages. It is way way too scripted, your mates can't keep up with you and even on Hard Mode you end up just rushing through the levels killing enemies without even aiming much. I can't comment much more on SP, second mission only I got an apparently common glitch making it impossible to proceed, after checking on official websites the fix was "Restart the whole mission" and I just said fuck it at this point.

MP is a tad better in about every categories but it's basically a BFBC2 copy paste without the stuff that makes BFBC2 actually good. Maps are small, spawns are dumb, snipers are OP... They may ever get to fix it but right now ugh... makes me want to drown kitten

If it wasn't linked to my BFBC2 account I'd trade it for $10 right now.

So it feels entirely "you vs. the world" in single player? Part of the reason I liked CoD was because my fellow soldiers, while not having squademate-level AI, would still fight and help me push the pile if nothing else. I dislike you vs. the world games, so I'll definitely be passing on this.

Kind of, they tend to run around you while you're shooting and by the time you kill all enemies they're just starting to announce that there are enemies and getting in position. Then they spend 30 seconds-1 minute catching up to you since you can't progress without them most of the time.

I bought it yesterday mostly for the Battlefield 3 beta key but the SP is pretty decent. I went to HS with a guy who is an operator now and he attested to the research done.

I know its basically a MW2 clone but I'm enjoying it. Haven't tried the MP to be honest, I have MW2 for that.

On a more serious note, with EA running the servers and DICE controlling the game balance, you know MP is going to be absolute shit. I've played all 3, thats right 3, of the classes to ~9 and I just can't deal with the lag anymore. I quite literally play two steps forward, one step back. However, SP was a decently fun story line, even though it jumped around like a mother and was extremely hard to get behind. I wish I would have saved my money and just rented it. :/
