My friend recently moved to Gainesville with his girlfriend. Ironically, now that he's far away from us, it looks like he is beginning to chill with us more. He regularly comes back down to Miami for holidays and extended weekends. Usually with his girlfriend. And when he is here, he hangs out with us alot more often. I asked him the other day why this is so and he could not really give me a clear cut answer.

I still find it funny that he comes down with his girlfriend and he basically refuses to bring her along for anything. Sera, we are hardly idiotic or wild, we usually just go to a movie on weekends or chill at my friends house playing Xbox, watching movies, etc. Sometimes we go to downtown to watch local bands but I digress. I think we are hardly anything idiotic or chaotic; hence why I can't understand why he would be so wary of bringing her along sometimes.

A gf ruined a beautiful relationship myself and a bunch of college friends had.

When I was in college we used to go to this guy's apt and play video games all weekend long. Which was awesome. Then at the end of college he found a gf who he was like depserately obsessed with (he wasn't exactly a good looking guy and I think he was figuring she would be the only girl that would ever love him type-deal). And she ruined everything.

She didn't want his friends coming over cause she didn't like video games. She pressured him into getting married after they only dated for like 3 months. When they moved into a condo we went over once to try RE4 that had just come out, and she fucking TURNED OFF THE TV in the middle of the game and said "I'm bored lets do something else" after we all played for like a n hour.

Then one time he managed to come over to another friends house without her. And she fucking started calling him no exaggeration every 30 minutes to ask him when he was coming home and she missed him n' shit. He had to keep going into the bathroom to talk to her, and eventually left way earlier than he planned because she wouldn't stop calling. I guess they went to counseling later on n' such but doesn't sound like too much has changed.

Ya I never see that friend anymore. Sucks cause those times in college were fun.

Yeah I had the same thing Ksandra with someone I considered my best friend throughout High School. We both went to college after high school and she hooked up with this guy. If I ever asked her to hang out, she would ask if he could come along or if i managed to get her alone, he would be calling her every 10 min or she would constantly be texting him. Eventually just decided I didn't want to hang out with her. Kinda sad, because she had the dream of becoming a doctor and the guy knocked her up. Now she's just becoming a nurse.
