just 3 days ago the temperature was 79.
Are you kidding me? Houston and Galveston have humidity like a motherfucker.

I've spent time in Galveston in June, didn't think it was too bad really. Dunno bout August tho.
Go to Louisiana or Mississippi in the summers and that is how the Carolinas feel. Shirt all and boxers all stuck to your body and shit, shit sucks.
Why would you wear flannel in the fields. <_<
I've found the best shirts to wear for that are long sleeved cotton/poly. The older the better because they get thinner with a lot of usage and washes. You really just need to get the sun off your skin.
I always laughed at the new guys that would come out in shorts and a t-shirt for field work. They'd laugh at me for wearing jeans and a long sleeved shirt, but in the end they were baking in the sun and I'd still be relatively cool.
Honestly I prefer the humid days to the dry beating days. When working around my house on the bad days I've been known to jump in the pool in long pants and shirt before I start working and whenever I dry out, lol.

5-10% difference across the board
When you're in the sun it feels hot as fuck either way, I prefer drying out slower.
Not really. For a big difference you're talking about like:

etc.
5-10% is definitely noticable... that shit is very heavy in the air around here and just walking around you can tell when it's a really humid day and when it's not and you look at the weather report and find that it's only 5-7% more humid than the day before.
It's definitely a big difference.
