basically, the whole stolen information thing falls flat because even being aware of the situation doesn't mean you can do anything about it.

Unlike you, I don't believe that this alone means that I should not have the information (if I were the one being impersonated).
I'd rather know so that I can better protect my information to stop it from occurring any further at the very least.

that is intended to express my reaction as someone who has had their information used by someone they didn't know before, not to explain domon's. just saying, it's not as big a deal as people are claiming it is. the difference is that i had recourse -- i could contact that site and have the profile closed. what can this woman do except worry about the situation? the pics are already out there, telling her they're being used in a particular way really serves no purpose at all unless she's going to try to internet lawsuit someone.

Well, we have no idea how far he was taking this persona -- if realClaire discovered Kiarax was using her persona in many other places that's certainly grounds for fraud investigation (especially since he's also UKian, she could actually do something if it was serious). I actually think keeping the information from her is far worse than telling her -- at least give her the choice of what she wants to do about it.
