So the story starts in Limbus when a friend sends me a /tell and says someone in Jeuno is shouting to sell sky/sea gear. I lead a linkshell named Epidemic, which does Sky on the weekends. We've been having a long dry spell on crimson legs and I'd been wanting to buy mine just to get out of everyone's way that still needs them in my linkshell.

The original shouter was somebody named Lissaa, who told me crimson legs were 4 mil. Sounded reasonable, they asked if I was free now and I said I would be in 30 minutes after a quick ENM run. They sent me a /tell 30 minutes later asking if I was ready and I told them soon, and they said to hold on and their friend would send me a /tell. I heard nothing else for over an hour after that and they were no longer online. And then...

I initially asked if I could pay a lower amount of money and include a Kirin pop set, expecting maybe 2.8-3 mil + triggers since a Kirin set here is worth about 1.1-1.2 mil. He responded 3.8 mil with triggers and I just laughed and said Kirin trigs are worth more than 200k, so he said 3.5 but I still wasn't going for that. Had never seen this person before and was kind of confused why they were even shouting in Jeuno instead of Whitegate in the first place. Whether it's RMT or just some desperate NA I don't know but I hope nobody else on Seraph fell for this today. But if you ever give that kind of money to a level 1 mule before you even see if this person has a linkshell that can kill anything you deserve what you get.

That's why I don't buy drops from NMs, I don't trust the people at all. Though I was tempted to buy W. Legs just because they were the last thing I wanted from sky, but meh... not worth the 3M IMO since I hardly ever used my PLD outside of farming.

That is why you only work with people like me who kill the NM for you, get ToD for you and wait until its in your inventory before hitting trade. It just makes for a much nicer deal when there is no stress or pushing for gil first, item after. It also works best when you work exclusively with JPs.

But Callisto is right get off that backwater server, go to remora learn how the big trolls get down, Hell join the right shell and they'll give you an apoc when your scythe skill isnt capped.
