they never said it -will- be released in the final quarter of November, so going by that, they did indeed pass up their intended release plans but it at least came out in the first quarter of December rather some unannounced late release, like they could have held it off until the first quarter of January lol.

Guess what, FFXI is ENTIRELY based on the concept of teamwork, so if your that fuckign butthurt over havign to, god forbid, TRUST someone out there, then don't level the synergy. OH and dont bother doing ANY form of endgame solo aside from the occasionaly low ass monster that a rdm can kite and kill.

You know what fuck it, why not just go play one of the 12 other FFs out there that DONT require you to use the aid of other people. This is an MMO people, its an online game. You know, playing with other people? God forbid with a few thousand people on your server SE might make the tasks joint efforts.

Anyway the reason SE was late is because they're disorganized as fuck as usual but at least it was ONLY a week 'late' - comparing this to the avatar situation, this is NOTHING to complain about. At all. I would go so far as to say they've surprised me with how early this was implemented.

I would be cautious with expensive materials for the first couple weeks though. This is a system that has the potential to be EXTREMELY buggy and disappointing.

I like how the PS2 version will take over an hour to download and install. I love the retarded way all files have to be checked now before the damn download even starts, which started like over a year ago at least. Thanks SE! -_-

Files always have gotten checked before download, even more so if you .dat edit/remove dats, they just made it obvious in the past few years. It takes longer because of the way consoles are setup differently than PCs and tend to have slower speeds on their HDD, especially with the PS2 being archaic as hell these days.

Besides, those times are just estimations, it can be quicker or slower if you try to bum rush the update.

You should have noticed by now that people are more likely to come back to the game after an update, and that players quit when the game is stalling.

Why do you think they announce update one month and half before the actual update? Why do you think Moogle Bonanza last 30 days, but always cover a 2 months time periods? Why do you think every freaking updates over the last 2 years had content mysteriously delayed till next month?


Maybe it doesn't make sense to you, but I'm sure it makes sense for SquareEnix considering they charge you the 1st day of the month. As long there is a tiny bit of new contents, starved players will stay to see how it turns out.
