true story, my parents would buy me a small present around xmas time sort of as fitting in with my friends until i was about 8.
That's actually quite considerate of them.
I'm hopefully getting a hardcover set of HP Lovecraft stories, to replace my decaying paperback ones. Oh, and maybe an external hard drive. I'd be content.
As far what I'm getting my family, well, it's simple.
Little brother: World of Warcraft game cards, iPod Touch.
Little sister: Set of Anne Rice Vampire novels, maybe a Jesus-related one just for 'cliek.
Mom: Gift card to Olive Garden, gift card to a clothing store, and an iPod Touch.
Dad: Assortment of tools, carton of cigarettes, and hopefully large amounts of his favorite snack cakes, and a gift card to Dunkin Donuts.
Ugh, I have more people to shop for this year..but I'm going to be watching my budget like a hawk too....
Fiancee: Not really sure...she wants an old school SNES system..but thinking of getting her a shit ton of wii points cards instead..also getting her a box set of whatever anime she's into atm...
Sister: Whatever Xbox 360 game that she wants
Grandmother: Getting her a PC she can surf the net with..maybe a netbook, not sure...
Grandfather: Clothes
Those are the priorities..getting one friend a laptop battery, since she's been pretty helpful..also getting another friend a Playarts figure.
I also shop for my youngest cousins, but they usually get gift cards for Best Buy..or clothes if they're really young....
I really don't want nothing in particular...a nice sound bar for my room wouldn't be bad though. :D
Im going to ejaculate on her face while she is asleep, for christmas
buying g/f a tempurpedic pillow, same thing basically
Well, yeah, you can. Trust me, we get shipments of the things all the time going through UPS.
My friends all bowed out of Christmas this year due to monetary concerns, so I'm mostly just getting my wife this book on rabbit internal medicine, to help fuel not only her obsession with the fuzzy little bunnies she loves so much, but to help her if she ever actually pursues her dreams of becoming a vet or vet tech.
I'm just getting stuff for kids and young teenage relatives this year. Mostly books and small toys. I was seriously considering getting a male teenage cousin of my husband's a copy of the Twilight novel since he seemed to like the movies but thankfully my horror at the terrible writing of the novel controlled me and I got him Eragon instead. Not much of an improvement, but meh.
Adults will be getting cookies or cakes, whatever I decide I to bake, all wrapped up pretty and cute. It'll be great fun baking because I've not baked anything in years.
I can't post what I'm getting for my husband since he reads this board too!
We kind of went easy of everyone with Christmas this year. Lucky for me since I will be proposing to my g/f of 7.5 years on Christmas Day, and the ring was far from cheap.
My parents both wanted new slippers and bathrobes, so that's what they got.
G/f's dad got Harvest Moon Animal Parade. He's a huge Harvest Moon fan. G/f's mom got a sandwich press.
My brother got an 11" NY Jets Lawn Gnome.
Sister got a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble.
One sister gets the new Ronald Jenkees cd fo sho.
Other sister probably gets some version of guitar hero for her computer, she always wants to play it when she's here.
Dad I'm not positive yet-- he read "The Gunslinger" and "The Drawing of the Three" and didn't really like them, but expressed some interest recently when I was reading em again. Might get him Wastelands and W&G. Only thing is he can just borrow one of my copies lol.
Mom I'm making a few things for. Doing a mix CD, a photo album thingy, and getting an old art teacher to let me use one of her pottery wheels to make her a salad bowl. (random old underused talent go)
Aunt/uncle/cousin will get a CD, though I haven't decided which yet.
Grandpa gets a golf shirt, grandma gets a rare stamp (she's a collector) from the year I was born.
I've been thinking of buying my husband a PS3, but I've always wondered do they have any Karaoke stuff on the PS network? (And i mean good Karaoke, like going to Korean Singing room.) It would make it a nice 'family' gift and justify the cost a bit more if the two of us get use out of it.
My family doesn't celebrate christmas.
My mother-in-law and brother-in-law live on the other side of the country, so they will be getting visa gift cards that fit nicely into funny cards.
I don't know if it's any good or not but there is a game called Karaoke Revolution.
It says it has 50 or so songs but I don't know anything about PSN having them.
