Word of advice for future runs: When somebody tries to jack some nice relic, open lotting to everybody. Better a good member get a piece they can't use than have it go to a jackass like that.

It happened within a 10ish second span though, I doubt any* of them really had time to react, especially if stuff like that hadn't happened to them before.

Hell, sometimes people do mistakenly lot stuff, and pass right after. There's really no 'right' way to handle this sort of stuff, other than hoping people don't act like pussies.

I doubt there's honestly anything you can do about it, people are just assholes. I don't get why he cared so much about THF hands, it really isn't that rare anymore. I don't know if my LS is just lucky but we have at least 10 people with THF leveled that have those hands. Seems like such a crappy piece to make yourself look like an ass over.

I love shitting on players on my server as next as the next drama-loving Phoenix player, but why are you posting this here? I doubt the guy is going to transfer servers because he ninja'd Thief relic gloves.

Sometimes people forget the name of this section, you know, cross-server player warnings? It's your shitty linkshell's fault for not making every person in your run, yes that includes regular LS members, bazaar their hourglass. I don't let my runs start pulling until everyone has them up, and I have at least one sackholder frequently checking bazaars to see if they're still up. Either way, there are tons of ways to prevent this from happening.

Step 1) bazaar glass (omittable)
Step 2) drop happens
Step 3) Take hourglass out of bazaar
Step 4) lot shit
Step 5) hi nobody can kick anyone out of dynamis

There is no way to prevent this other than don't bring sketchy people to dynamis. This whole "bazaar hourglass or make them pass all AF" thing is fucking hilarious.

I wouldn't bring trial members to Xarcabard in the first place. The point is, OP's LS is obviously lax with security. There are tons of ways to go about making your Sky/Dynamis runs more secure.

1) Bazaar Hourglass(This should be Step #1, obviously easy for players to ignore, but still should be used, just because).

2) Don't take trial members on Xarcabard runs, perhaps Bastok? Gear that people want is going to drop, no matter what zone you're in, minimizing the cost of a prospective member fucking you over is a must.

3) Find a way to include a BLM in the party with the trial member. I know my LS does this, and hey, we've prevented ninja'ing by prospective members in the past by doing this.

Those are 3 simple steps, I mean, jesus, I know Square-Enix didn't give us a lot to work on, but there are tons more inventive ways to ensure loyal members of your linkshell don't get fucked over by some twat itching for some lolrelic. And yeah, really simple way is not to bring sketchy players into your linkshell, as Demosthenes11 said.

Bazaaring hourglass is only useful for afk people. Sitting around not pulling is not a good alternative either btw, so you're fucking stupid.

If someone wants to ninja a Xarc item, they can easily wait the 3 runs you're gonna require to get past trial.

If someone is a decent ninja,they will even wait until there's 5 seconds left on an item to lot it, so people can't all outlot them. Furthermore, they can drop party to not get D2ed.




The only way I can see to prevent ninjaing is require a 20mil deposit when someone joins the shell, and slowly return it over time! All this blm in party, hourglass in bazaar, not pulling is just stupid crap that won't really work.

Oh ya, I realize that requiring a 20m deposit won't work either.
