Same. If anything, he's a lot calmer.. at least in press conferences. On the sideline he gets fired up. It's odd. UF loses Tebow, every starter/backup on defense, and their coach next year. It's like Alabama played the guy with a gun to Florida's Old Yeller or something.

Its honestly more of a dick move by Meyer to not let Charlie Strong in on this 2 weeks ago...UF could have saved a lot headache if they had done so.

My Florida alumni stepmother, after talking with some of her booster friends, says Meyer has been known to have an enlarged heart and he was likely told that the next play you get angry about could be your last. So take that for what its worth...

I couldnt be happier as a UGA fan regardless.

Edit: Also, early rumors of who will take up at Florida lead to Will Muschamp at Texas, who can opt out of his contract if he takes another head coaching job. Mack Brown isnt going anywhere at 5 mil/year.

It would be a slap in the face though, to have a UGA graduate coaching at Florida...

That's really too bad, he was the saving grace of college football for me the last few years. Would have driven me crazy to see Florida and Tebow dominating like that if it wasn't such a great guy (Meyer) behind it all.

Almost all of the Pac 10s big wins were against each other lol, killed me the entire season seeing how many Pac 10 teams were in the top 25 just because they beat USC, who was pretty shitty the entire year. Challenging for the best? lol, please.

This. The timing of the announcement is really weird... either do it right after you go to the hospital after the SEC Championship, or wait until after the Sugar Bowl. And yeah, you might want to let Strong know you're thinking about this before signing with Louisville.

In the long run, I'm sorry to see him go. Five years ago, I thought to myself, "this gimmicky Mountain West spread bullshit won't fly in the SEC!" He proved me wrong, and then some. He was a great coach and seemed to garner the respect of everyone around him. As much as I hate Florida, and the media treatment of him and Tebow, I still respect him as much as any opposing coach in recent memory. I hope his health allows him to return to coaching in the very near future.
