Ebon Harness + Aptant: Pera = Ebon Jerkin + Ebur Pigment = Ebur Jerkin
Ebon Harness + Aptant: Pera = Ebon Jerkin + Ebur Pigment = Ebur Jerkin
The leather synth was added in yesterdays update. I did this on a character with 0 crafting/synergy skill, using others crafting skills in my party. The crafting skill required is the same as the original synth, which is leathercraft 100+ smithing 50+ gold 50+ I believe.
SO as long as I have one person with leather craft 100, one with smithing 50+, one with gold 50+, id be able to make this?
Ouch.I think I'ma keep my Alchemist's Apron due to the color personally. Brown seems kinda dull for an Alchemist. >_>
Fishing however, something just told me to store up GP immediately after I saw those Smocks. 'Else be in the same boat with you, fuck a Fishing Apron. XD
I wonder...
So let's say if they add Cursed Hauberk to recipe lists, would having a 100 smither 100 clothcrafter 100 goldsmither in your PT and attempting it give you a higher chance at HQ than normal crafting? Will it even HQ? I know people have been HQing OJs but it's kinda different lol.
Well, in the theoretical situation of Shair Manteel, that's lv 95 gold and lv 60 cloth, so with 100+6 goldsmithing and 71+ clothcraft, it might be T1 instead of T0.
Doubt they'll add stuff like that though.
Has anyone been able to find out which Aptant is required for the RDM/BRD/BLU line of gear? Am I right in assuming that all I need is the right Aptant and the base item (Ebon Beret for me) in order to try synergizing the final product (Ebon Tam)?
Looks like each set has aptants like someone said earlier.
PLD: Durus
WAR/DRK: Bellum
BST/DRG: Aecus
MNK/SAM/PUP: Ishis
RNG/COR: Pera
THF/NIN/DNC: Tachus
WHM/SMN: Halean
BLM/SCH: Secan
BRD/BLU/RDM: Geoc
Primus + upgrade to revert heavy armor; Arkhe to revert back light armor; Fryst to revert back mage armor.
LS mate traded stuff for the lance.
Sarissa (lance)
Blunt Lance x1
Wolfram Steel Ingot x2
Cobalt Ore x1
Smithing was too low.
Ran a couple of tests regarding etching to regular items. Looks like, as you remove an etching on an item, each subsequent etching on the same item decreases its elemental strength. For me, on a Darksteel Pick, it went from 6 to 4 to 2 to 1 to 1. On the next attempt I made at 1 though, I got a HQ message and the strength was back to 6. Removed that etching, went to re-etch and it's right back at 1 again.
member of JP LS who hate all NA. Will never talk to us. Somebody figure this out:

Concordia. Has some recipe stuff not finished.
someone in this thread mentioned 2x cobalt ore 2x wolfram ingot and got promptly blown off. doesn't hurt to try.
Synergy (Apprentace), Smithing (Veteran), Goldsmithing (Artisan)
Yield: Galatyn
* 3 x Wolfram Steel
* 1 x Cobalt Ore
* 1 x Dull Claymore
Is the recipe for my GSD. I have all the materials but do my smither and goldsmither need to by synergists and have the crucible? Do I need to? I don't really understand any of that I just want my shiny sword D:
What if you have
*Blunt Lance
*Wolfram Steel Ingot
*Cobalt Ore
And your smither has
*Wolfram Steel Ingot.
Would he be able to throw in an ingot for the process? >_>
The stuff that was added in the last patch like this:
http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Aptant:_Ishis
It has nothing to do with Synergy or Evoliths?
