Messed around with me lance again.
Succeeded with the first etching, was 44 thunder power to do it, 22% impurity per feed at lvl 15 synergy skill
After that they let me upgrade it again! But it was beyond my soloing skill. wonder how many slots these babies can hold.

Ponzes... ponzes...
WAIT! THIS IS A GIANT PANZI SCHEME! OH GOD!
Found a latenight lsmate and we etched it again, me 15 he 25 skill.
Found you can etch it yet again a 3rd time! But it's beyond our lvls to do it sadly, maybe tomorrow. Actually get an option on element this time.

Jealous of you already Macross ^^ but this is some of the information/verification we've been needing.
Perhaps karbuncle's fire brick is a material to be used in something specifically synergy-related? Sounds rather furnacy.
Is there anything you can etch on that Sarissa to make it beat VFork? I don\'t think there is.
Also remember not to leave important stuff like an apron - inside the Synergy Furnace before moving server...
For god sake remember to take your item out again ;;
Prob can't beat a V fork, but it looks cool. Never know though, could be a weaponskill +crit like someone said. Could have some hidden trait to kill AV and resist meteors who knows lol. The evoliths from formors you get the lance from do have bonuses vs luminians so it's not too far fetched.
Since weapon can be upgraded at least 3x, the armors likely have multiple slots as well. I dunno what element to etch into my lance however, gotta see what's out there first. Looks like there could be room for 4 augs though. Won't know till I or someone else tries one, but the difficulty going up on it fast. Perhaps in a few days when people hit 50 skill we'll see.
Just ran across this in the (horribly designed- why can't I abort recipe descriptions like with every other guild?) recipe suggestion dialogue:
Galley Kitchen
Blacksmithing: veteran
Cooking: veteran
Woodworking: artisan
Synergy: (didn't write down, but was suggested at level 43)
1 bronze sheet
1 steel sheet
4 firebricks
2 teak lumber
fire 70, ice 70, wind 50, earth 70, water 70
Not enough crafting buddies around to try it tonight, alas.
Also, while I'm at it, the Goldsmithing Cuffs recipe listed everywhere is wrong- it uses a Karakul Cloth, not a Karakul Leather. Not sure if this is an error from the npc, or a mistake by someone else in recording it, since the npc won't suggest it to me anymore.
Cap on Smock synthing seems to be 43, not sure where to go from there since I don't have immediate access to the aern weapon bits. NPC suggests mythril nuggets without listing any 'real' crafts required, but he also still lists smocks, so it may not get me past 43 either. No leaves on the AH and sleepy, so not worrying about it yet, heh.
anyone know wtf furnace operations you do to stop explosions or leaks lolI've tried them all and never have any luck preventing either.
So the general consensus for leveling this up is to just keep throwing elemental fewell into the furnace as fast as you can while you're synthing? I got to level 1 last night and the only thing I'd say about it so far is that it's time consuming. My mind seems to understand how it works though, so hopefully I can use that to me advantage later.
Doesn't that make the DoT on the furnace go faster? Usually i just ignored it and keep feeding fewells, as your level goes up, the impurity will go down by 1% per level.
Gonna make Ebon Harness in an hour or two then attempting Shikkoku Togi

Just need one of the damn NMs to put out Aptant: Ishis 0/3 now with TH4.
Am I the only one who thinks that looks badass and somehow reminding me of Hellsing?
