Does any know craft levels / synergy level / mats for Ebon coat yet? Someone is walking around in white gate with one but he's being a douche and not sharing info.

There is a lot of info being posted on wiki. From what I see, some leg, hands and feet pieces can be crafted from ebon gear into their specialized counterparts with as low as 20 Synergy and about 50 in other crafts. Nothing listed for the bodies as of yet.

Are any of the NMs soloable that drops the item needed to make the Ebon Jerkin?

Aqrabuamelu in Crawlers Nest. If you have any type of movement speed gear you can pull away into the other crawler room and just kite around the rock there. Took me 30 min solo on COR/NIN until my friend showed up and netherblasted for the kill. That NM drops aptants for both RNG/COR, and MNK/SAM/PUP upgrades. Also, before doing the NM sign up for the hunt registry in Bastok for an easy 30 Scylds.

can only upgrade fewell loading to level 5 before the npc says something like 'you are as good as I am, choose something else to upgrade'.

I'm guessing that upgrading fewell loading gives the 'burns with more combustion' message more frequently as I get it every other attempt now.

If the others are like this it means you can fully upgrade 2 categories for now, and eventually fully upgrade 4 categories when it hits 100 as the cap.



p.s. Anyone have a good plan for post 43 leveling when the aprons play out?

A note about thwacking the furnace: do this when it starts to overload--the furnace will have an animation like it is readying a tp move, and thwacking can stun it, reducing the pressure / impurity like it exploded, without the actual explosion. The durability lost is far less than from the explosion / time taken to get rid of status ailments. Furthermore, if you turn your filters off, you can see when its readying it, and know when to thwack it.

Quick question again on Ebon Harness. To make it I need a Leathercrafter100 with both Smithing and Goldsmithing60 correct? The base synth can´t be made with synergy in a party with a Leathercraft100 a Goldsmith60 and a Smith60.

Just tried this synth for Ebon Harness with a LC100 friend.

1x Earth Crystal
1x Angel Skin
2x Amphiptere Leather
1x Shagreen
1x Molybdenum Sheet
1x Platinum Sheet
1x Red Textile Dye

It did not work. How is this shit made?

Harness is a proper synth, to convert the harness to something else is synergy.

Question on Shagreen, does only the NM drop it or do the gigas drop it as well?

I've gotten a Shagreen off a Gigas Pelter in BCD-S while trying to pop Becut.

LC100 Gold55 Smith51 iirc somebody saw subs 50+ were enough.

Harnesses are still going about 3 mil strong on Garuda... probably going to have to hire a crafter to make mine. Virg if you can create any of the 3 specialized pieces, can you find out what etching slots are possible as I am very curious.

Are you trying to put these mats in a Synergy Furnace? Because you can only make the Ebon Harness via normal synthesis. 100 Leather, and about 50 Gold and Smithing subs. Putting the Ebon Harness with the correct aptant creates a specialized piece of gear:

Ebon Harness + Aptant: Ishis = Shikkoku Togi
Ebon Harness + Aptant: Pera = Ebon Jerkin
Ebon Harness + Aptant: Tachus = Ebon Vest

Yeah I´ve been tryin to get the base Ebon Harness made by a LC100 friend of mine but it doesn´t the fuck work. Can not be combined message. I´m gonna flip a shit soon because I have Aptant: Ishis ready. Been trying for like 3 hours now.

When i looked up harness from guild it says Leather/Smithing/Bone no gold listed.
