This synth works for sure, that's what I gathered up for it. My crafter had all subs though, so maybe wiki is wrong with one of the subs like someone mentioned. Bonecraft makes sense though since an angel skin is used.
Oh, and I synergized it solo with Bonecraft 100, subs all 60 if that helps you gather friends.
Ah, confirmation.. Yeah, I was told in-game that it dropped off of them, but I was beginning to think that whatever SS they saw was shopped or something. Killed about 12-15 pelters last night and not a single drop. So seems like something annoying to farm, like wivre-hide annoying. But I suppose it's better farming off those than going for Scylla. Oh yeah, and I didn't know about Becut until it popped, and molested me. If anyone wants to go farm these it's cool to note there is a little shortcut. If you are coming from the outpost, go down the first ramp, but instead of going east, go south to the cliff (where one time extension is, and another time extension nuke is in dyna beaucedine). There's like a little hole you can enter there to drop down a level, instead of having to run all the way around.I've gotten a Shagreen off a Gigas Pelter in BCD-S while trying to pop Becut.
Looking back on this, since people have seemed to agree that pineapple caps at 15 (or at least I did, and someone took the "confirmation" off on the other wiki, gee, thanks), and people have gotten OJ up to level 8, I think it's safe to assume that this calculates the level cap of an item.
Until you get the 5%, the % seems to mean how many levels you're off.
example, pineapple juice 8% at level 7, 7+8=15, the cap.
Looking back at logs, when I was doing my weaver's smock, I got 30% at level 12, meaning 12+30 = 42 cap.
This would also put OJ at 8 cap.
I know it's not much to "confirm" this as an equation, but it's looking pretty good so far. If anyone has any other numbers to contribute, go ahead.
also, lolotherwiki
or should I say, lol melee galka smn? lololol. holy shit the people on that talk page are retardedUmm, who moved pinapple juice to this page? I'm at level 2 synergy, and the skillup has already slowed down drastically. I highly doubt that it is in this level range. Tahngarthortalk-contribs 01:27, December 8, 2009 (UTC)
If anyone could help with the impurity/skill cap testing, feel free to upload your results to:
https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Synergy_Recipes
Or just post it here and I'll upload it there.
edit, more info:
Successfully thwacking to stop an explosion, drops impurity to 5%, but doesn't lower pressure.
Explosion going through resets impurity to 0%, and pressure to a low number (got 6 the one time I bothered to check)
I believe impurity ratio is what leads to explosion, and the pressure is for when elements start to leak (although, maybe not, I just got a leak to start right after it exploded and reset to a small number, who knows?). When leaking, the element leaking drops, and the element it's weak to raises. (IE, fire leaking, water goes up)
I also got thwacking ability to level 2, and very impressed with it. I usually get 4 attempts every explosion, and I've been succeeding most of the time. Going to keep record of success/fail rates to see if I can come up with a percentage.
Elemental surge (I think raising fewell feeding raises this %?) raises the element by the max possible (from my logs, seems to be 10 always, I think that's the max), and only reduces the opposing element by 1 instead of 2. edit: Just got an elemental surge that only raised it by 1 <_<
Fewell feeding DOES NOT lower impurity (otherwise it would fuck my equation up, lol) and I'd be willing to guess it doesn't lower pressure either. I think it just increases the % chance of elemental surges happening.
pressure is how much damage it does when it blows up I think.
So basically when thwacking it, it's more based on luck or your skill and you just have to spam it until it works more or less? I was under the impression at first that timing had something to do with it, but if not that puts me more at ease.
Currently i am at level 43.2 from my alchemist's apron, hence the cap for apron doesn't stop at 42 or 43. Initially my thought is the same as yours, Julian but apparently this apron proves otherwise. At level 38-39? , my impurity ratio was already at 5% per feeding.
Anyone know where flowerseeds are? Wanted to try some of those furniture synths. I got to lvl 30, can lvl3 etch my spear, should get me to 37 or based on the impurity %.
For those interested in what to cap on after aprons, mythril nuggets will do the trick. They are listed as 'journeyman' and I think they cap right at 50 based on the impurity (although I can't say for sure).
Recipe is 4 mythril leaves/ 2 vitriol
There is NO alchemy (or any other) minimum on this so theoretically you could start it whenever you want. Silver nugget is another working recipe which I imagine caps lower.
Oh, well, damn. Maybe it changes for higher levels? :/
Anyway, here's the results:
Level 1: 30/189 success, ~15% success rate
Level 2: 33/169 success, ~20% success rate
It's not much of a sample size, but looks like 10% base +5% per level? That would put level 5 at 10+25=35% success? Seeing as you get to attempt 4 tries per blow up, that looks good. I'll parse level 3 tomorrow.
Also parsed level 2 fewell feed: 70 surges/714 total feeds, ~10% success rate at level 2? Does it happen at all at level 0?
edit: Checked logs from first day, yes I did get surges from level 0, looks like it was about a 7% chance that day, but sample rate etc, so I guess that isn't affected by fewell feeding, and it does something else.
Just dinged 50 synergy.
Did Mythril Nugget 42 > 50 (4x mythril leaf + 2x vitriol)
Don't need any subcrafts for that at all.
lol @ 300k for a stack of mythril leaves on my server
Here, let me help you guys out a little bit: Etching equipment also gives skill up, just need to find a piece of equipment that can take you that high.
Just got my synergy level to 44 on apron, then i did a few tries to see if it goes above 44, no skill though. Gonna move on to the nuggets as what barber2006 suggested then i just checked my AH and those leaves are selling at 50k per leaf..... Umm, any other alternatives? lol
ouch.....i bought mine for 5k each. Maybe I should relist them at 50!
Elemental surges seem to raise energy by 1 if you're above the target amount.
So... do you need to actually have a craft leveled to do this?
