Sorry if this has been posted, but has anyone done Ebon/Ebur/Furia Jerkins (The RNG/COR body) and if so can you tell me what slot/element/sizes you can put on them? Never found any info on their slots and was curious if I could put Sabotender Bailarina's evolith on one of those 3.

Bailarina's evolith gives Marksmanship WS +7-12 R.Atk. It's fire based, shape is a filled downward triangle, and size is between 5-7.

The sets for all of them were posted on this page or the one before i think.
all the new armor is 2 Vs family evolith slots and 1 magic.
slot size is also predetermined by the color (ebon/ebur/furia). Read back if you still care to find the size of the slots at this point this post.

Just made my carpenter's cuffs last night, cost me 180K in mats and took us like 5 tries to get down, so about 25K in fewell.

General method, had 2 decent synergists including me + a lv 1 synergy friend from ls.

Lv 1 person just kept the impurity level below 30% while my friend and I built up the fewell, was 63 earth/wind, so we started with wind, got it to 70 and then took earth up. Only issue was the person doing impurities was really wet behind the ears synergy wise and we had a lot of explosions the first few tries til we got it down.

Earth affinity is pretty epic, its basically a super whack with almost 100% accuracy, but only works to stop earth overloads.

Skilling up wise its cheaper to just take the ovelroad to the face, but in any craft that has earth in it, especially if its the highest, itd be far more cost efficient to load up earth fewell first so its the most likely to overload when impurty gets too high, and just have the person with carpenter's cuffs whack it once.

5 wind fewell for the whack vs the 50 or so itd take to keep impurities <30%, cuffs ftw

Also the 15% reduction to dmg taken from explosions is really nice for skilling, can focus more on fewell less on keeping HP up, Im almost at enough GP for my WWing apron so I'll tell you guys how that effect works asap.

Still havent made my fishing smock yet, kinda holding onto it for skillups, you know XP

I wouldn't call it 100% or close to that value. I've had Cooking: Water Affinity for skilling up on Mythril Nuggets and it does not proc all the time (spamming water fewell too). I do agree that the gloves are very much worth it. I highly suggest to anyone just starting Synergy to ask a friend to help you make these asap.

Definitely agree, I was quite glad when I made my gloves (went with the Fisherman's Cuffs). The Precision Thwack does a way better job stopping explosions than regular thwack (lv. 0 anyways) and I've got quite a few skill-ups from using it too. These gloves say affected by moon phase but I have not really paid attention to phase when doing Synergy so not sure how much it actually effects it.

Accomplished 2 things this weekend. Made my Blacksmith's Cuffs and soon after finally made my Blacksmith's Smock. The added effect of the cuffs made the synergy of the smock SOOOOO much easier. Only thing is, it uses alot of my Water Fewell to stop the blowout of the furnace. Very usefull if your doing a major synergy synth that requires high amounts of energy and don't want the furnace to blow up and you don't wanna thwack it.

On the plus side I hit Lv.30 Synergy but now I don't have my Apron to skill off of now. I guess Silver/Mythril Leafs here I come.

Taint, you won't notice any difference in the cuffs when doing normal Synergy. The way the cuffs work is each different one consumes different Fewell to prevent certain element explosions. This is the description's are listed on FFxiclopedia under Synergy page.

Smithing: Fire Affinity (Only Available while wearing a Blacksmith's Cuffs)
    * Consume 5 Water fewell to keenly observe the flow of elements to prevent Fire-based explosions.

I used this cause alot of the Ebon Gear made from Smithing is fire based. So when I was using use the affinity (Listed where Twack the Furnace is listed), it consumed Water fewell and it prevented an explosion each time.

So if you have the Tanner's Cuffs, this is what is listed for them:

Leatherworking: Ice Affinity (Only Available while wearing a Tanner's Cuffs)
    * Consume 5 Fire fewell to keenly observe the flow of elements to prevent Ice-based explosions.

I hope that will help ya. Unless your doing alot of Ice Based Synergy synths, there won't be any difference.

Just tried galley kitchen with full pt, including a 95 smith

Got message smithing was too low. FFFFUUUUUUUU

    Finding a full pt of synergists is retarded hard, but finding a 100 smith willing to actually help someone out is harder, so I've learned >_>;

So I did my best to search this thread and didn't come up with anything too concrete. What are people training once they have 5/5 Fewell feeding?

I think everyone has been keepin their ace's to themselves, looking to see if/how the system changes, before plugging in more training. As for me, I did 5/5 feeding on one char and 5/5 safety lever on another char. If I only had one char, at this point (assuming the system would not change), I'd do 5/5 on both. I see no point in the others. Thwacking is apparently really good, but I really don't let my furnace get to the point where it wants to explode.

Ah ok thanks that makes sense. I was planning on doing 5/5 thwacking next then I discovered the fisherman's cuffs and from my limited research Precision Thwack seems to be pretty effective so 5/5 thwacking may be somewhat pointless.

edit: now I need to find someone else on Odin who has been skilling synergy to help me make the cuffs/fisherman's smock!

I fucked up and 2 put two levels into pressure lever.

what a fucking waste, there better be some quest or something to turn my points in later on, go to a ??? and retrieve a R/E synergy based item and an engineer will take away a point for you to put towards something else.

    Otherwise I'm effed

As far as I know, recycle is a waste too. Unless leveling it means you can get fewell back? Did anyone test this yet? Maybe on a mule so not wasted. Otherwise 101%~105% cinder reward is just ugg

Is the 3rd etch on gear/weapons a bitch even at level 50 synergy? It's bad enough that the second synth can be a bitch and produce low sized slots but failing the 3rd is just one of those FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF moments.

Has anyone figured out exactly how you get the numbers on an etch definitively? I could ace the first etch and hit 40/40 on point and get a 6 then do it again and get an 8. The whole thing seems random but idk.

So has anyone seen what repairing the furnace does? I havent touched that but if at lv 5 it repairs a notable chunk of the furnace's HP thatd be an extremely useful skill to have.

So far recycle and pressure valve are complete wastes, thwacking semi pointless as the thwacks from fishing hands or other gloves are much more accurate, leaving; fewell feeding, safety lever, and repair.

Fewell feeding is a must, thats for sure. Boost to combustion rate really helps speed things up.

Impurities are what cause explosions, so safety valve is also extremely important.

Leaving repair, has anyone taken this up a few levels to see how effective it is?
