edit: question, if you sign up for an NM and then cancel the hunt, do you lose all the scylds, or get them back? I assume lose, but just wanna double dheck. Also, I found that being out of exp range at the time the NM is killed, means you don't get credit for a hunt, but that seems natural.

Second part is untrue. I've killed Wake Warder Wanda twice on two different 75 jobs. my Corsair and my Dragoon and gotten credit for the hunt both times. Got a size 2 Wild Card -1 both times.

So, that Polearm WS Acc one..most likely caps at 10. I just got a +8 and it's a size 5 Evolith..dude that posted earlier said it could go to a size 6..so I'm assuming that size 6 is +10 Acc.

He's probably referring to the ones you have to pay for to access.

The problem so far that I have with a lot of the diamond slotted Evoliths is that there aren't a lot of good weapons you can put them on aside from the Aern Weapons. Have there been any reports of Diamond etchings showing up on armor? Or is it just weapons only? Also, SE should have made these Aptants 100% drop rate or at least bumped them up a bit.

Looks like the diamond and upside down triangles are for weapon items from what I've seen. I've been checking out lower level weapons and they are all these shapes. And since very few of these evos seem to be going to 7 or 8, they fit into low level gear just fine.

Zanbato, adargas, and halberd were all etchable.

And about the aptant droprate, I agree it totally needs a boost. I've killed the cactus at least 26 times since they added the NM's, and have seen 6 aptants. Two of them were ones I didn't need so 4/26+ for an item you need 5 of for a set is pretty rough.

Wajaom Woodlands, K-9, Timed-Spawn I think. Fought with Pld/29Blu, Rdm/Whm, Brd/Blm. Not particularly terribly hard. Not terribly easy. Pretty much a war of attrition against your MP. No TP moves, no magic. Very low proc-rate en-slow. Fast attack speed. We used phalanx ii (lvl1), cocoon, and 2x minnes. Still was rough on the mp over time. I can see myself having run out with no brd. Paralyze landed easy and was effective. If only DD is pld I'd recommend keeping poison on. Did bio instead of dia. If you bring a brd have them do /sch or /whm. ES+elegy did not land.

As for the vs-dragons stuff... I think of tiamat too, lol. Actually... it might not be completely useless.. that is, has anyone tried attaching it to typical fire-resist gear? Like legionaire's harness, etc?

That is lame... at least it's existent. But still, if people want to get 5-10+ pieces of this gear (well, probably few will due to the prohibitive prices... all for something that so far is mediocre..), that's a lot of fucking time sinking into aptants. I've fought 4 aptant NM's so far and not seen one.

Sabotender Corrido, if that's what you were fighting, seemed easy duo to me. But I guess that's if you go as thf. Went down fast, not horribly accurate, can pDodge during 2hr. Qufim kraken guy was easy thf+rdm duo, same w/ venomfang. Haven't tried many of these though... thank god I don't have to fight a perma-spikes you-can't-grav-me one.

Yea luckily they are easy to kill, it's just that if multiple people want these and they only drop from 3 or 4 NM's at these low rates, this is going to be the limiting item. Chary Apkallu, Warabouc, Harvestman, Atkorkamuy, Canal Moocher, and Konjac are all pretty easy solos on nin/dnc. I got Big Bang once on Nin/Dnc too but he's much harder and a lotto so not really worth it. Sabotender Corrido I just 2hr on mnk/war and he goes down pretty easy.

Makes perfect sense actually. I saw "out of exp range" at sometime close to 4am and thought level range, not distance. My apologies~

Wouldn't put this one out of the picture yet, Good for Hojo + Doton, at least its an element matching a Ninjutsu Debuff (slow)!

Depending on what we can stick it on this one looks pretty worthwhile for a good NIN.
